upgrading weapons

i put a nef rune in a buriza and someone told me that i cant upgrade it if there is a rune in it i hope this is not true bc its 198% and i am not the best at ladder i can never get another one probably can anyone tell me whether i can still upgrade or not i have a lum but still looking for pul

Yes, you can still upgrade it and it keeps its sockets.

even if you couldnt upgrade it because its socketed with a rune you could use the cube recipe to clear the sockets... jedi is right...

i mean just regular buriza is an uber bow but when upped??
cuz ive seem burizas do up to 300dam or 350dam maximum
if u upped it . it would do like 500?-500? dam??
i dunno. i never tried it.....good find on almost perfect buriza
i neevr found a perfect 1 :lol:

Of course you can upgrade buri - with or withaut Nef - it does not matter - but the result of this upgrading is questionable. You will win some unimportant max dmg, lose one point of min dmg and - what´s VERY important you lose tons of dex.
Upgraded buri has very high str requirements which means that you must invest your state points/gear/charms in str and not in dex. Only dex multiply bow/crosbow ph dmg, so you win a little and lose a lot.

First of all buriza isn't even a bow. . .It's a CROSS-BOW. You have no idea what you're talking about of course you can upgrade it.

Sorry to bring this back from the dead but ...

for some reason I can't seem to uprade my Buriza-do-Kyanon. It's an exceptional Unique right?

I've upgraded other exceptional Uniques to Elite Uniques with this Cube formula many times in the past:

1 Lum Rune + 1 Pul Rune + 1 Perfect Emerald + Exceptional Unique Weapon = Elite Version of Weapon (Ladder Only)

I'm running the 1.10 patch on D2 LOD single player (which ladder only recipes work as well).

This time nothing happens. Strange.

I'm wondering if it's because it's a Collossus Crossbow already base which is an Elite Xbow already? So maybe that's why it won't work? Or is there something screwy here?

Buri is a Balista. If you upgrade it, it's a Colosus Xbow. I think you already upped it mister

I swear I did not upgrade it! I think ...

I'm pretty sure I haven't upgraded it. That's because I upped other items previously ... and then I started testing a Lightning Fury/Plaque Javelin Amazon build with a Buriza-Do-Kyanon on switch for the heck of it (I was mainly playing Necros at that time).

Oh well, guess I won't bother. Thanks anyways.
