upgrading ethereal

upgrading ethereal

Sorry for not checking first, i'm at work and don't have much time. I heard if you up an ethereal item it doesn't stay ethereal. Is this true? If so how does it work with the stat differences?

As far as I know the item stays ethereal. There's supposedly still a bug with upgrading ethereal armors where the ethereal penalty stays, but the defense bonus is removed. I'm not sure if that one's still around or not, though.

It has to do only with armours from what I know... I guess it loses defense instead of gains from the upgrade. So that scepter is a bad example yea?

I was answering the original posters question as you can see the scepter does keep etheral. As for the armor bug I thought this only applies to uniques but I'm not sure about that.

Yes it applies to unique for sure I know from experience but I don't know for rare.......
