    Upgrading Class Specific items?

Does anyone have any experience upgrading class-specific items? My plucky little spearazon really likes the mods on her Lycanders, but can it be upgraded? What does a ceremonial pike become? A matriarchal spear? For several of the other class-specific items, it doesn't seem clear what the upgrade path would be, at least on dii.net.

I'm mostly asking just to figure out what the reqs will be when I upgrade.

I believe it would become a Matriarchal Pike 132 Str req 149 Dex req according to arreat summit. Base dmg is 37-153 so upgraded ur Lycanders Max dmg would be 432(150 ED)-509(200 ED) depending on Enhanced dmg

OH... and yes u can upgrade it

How is this not clear on the site? You go to exceptional Amazon-only weapons and see the graphic for Ceremonial Pike, then you check elite Amazon-only weapons and look for the same graphic... still not clear? How bout this: Maiden << Ceremonial << Matriarchal... this applies to javalin and spears.

And it's an exceptional grade weapon, all exceptional unique weapons have the same upgrade recipe.

Ahh. My bad. I looked again and saw what you're pointing to. OK, I really need a weekend to maybe sleep for an hour or so...this work/work/D2X/work/work/D2X/work/work is obviously turning me into a...whats the word...oh yeah...moron.

    Sorry for the lame post.

it may or may not be worth it, i upgraded my titans, and learned my lesson that way, that for some reason the dmg did not increase much at all. It went from cerimonial jav to matriarchial jav.

tra la la. I really wish there was a mod tool you could try out upgrades hypotheically prior to doing it, instead of trying to calculate all the dmg via math. I hate math :)

This site should be in everyone's fav's list

    http://www.cs.colostate.edu/~deykea/d2weapons.html

Does all that nasty math for you ;-)

    Normal titans (200% ed)

    One-Hand: 79-155 (117 avg)
    Throw: 79-212 (145.5 avg)

One other thing to note is that the new required level is not just the level of the new base item, it something like base item level +5 (or 7 or varies) but the link I provided takes this into account.

    Upgraded titans (200% ed)

    One-Hand: 115-212 (163.5 avg)
    Throw: 130-248 (189 avg)

Upgrading Titans IS a good deal if it's ethereal though.
These will be listed as Thrown/Melee
    Standard Ceremonial Javs: 18-54/18-35 (avg:36/26.5)
Ethereal Ceremonial Javs: 27-81/27-52.5 (avg: 54/40)

Standard Mat Javs: 35-66/30-54 (avg: 50.5/42)
Ethereal Mat Javs: 52.5-99/45-81 (avg: 78/63)

    200 ED Ceremonial Titans: 79-212/79-155 (avg: 145.5/117)
    200 ED Eth Ceremonial Ti: 106-293/106-207.5 (avg:199.5/157)
    200 ED Matriarchal Titans: 130-248/115-212 (avg: 189/163)
200 ED Eth Matriarchal Ti: 182.5-347/160-293 (avg: 265/226.5)

It's not as striking as Upgrading Bonesnap, but Javazons get very little in the way of physical damage bonuses, so they need all the physical damage they can get to leech.

The new level is new base item + 7 (it's +5 when going from Norm to Exceptional)
