Upgraded unique items

I've found a skills of the victor armour.

doesn't look too exciting but i'm poor.

What defence will it have if I upgrade it ?

I see that Corpsemourn which would appear to be the equivalent exceptional armour has 1127-1262 defense. Is this what I would get ?

No. Upgrading a Silks of the Victor ancient armor does not turn it into Corpsemourn (or give it the stats/defense of a Corpsemourn). It simply upgrades the base armor, which means that the Silks ancient armor is turned into a Silks ornate plate. To figure out the upgraded defense, multiply the base defense of the ornate plate (this varies) by the ED% found on the Silks. Be aware that base defense of the upgraded armor is rerolled when you upgrade, so the final defense when you upgrade will differ somewhat.

Yah, what the above two said. It won't turn into a Courpsemourn (it'll simply be a Silks of the Victor with higher requirements and a higher defence), and it's definately not worth it. Unless you're just too cool.

So can you name a Uniqe which IS worth to uppgrade?

Anyway you would nearly double the defence but the strength req would go up to 170. Dont know if the lvl req would also go up but probably.

WWS, Demon Machine, Buriza, Eth. Hone Sundan. I like to up my Butcher's Pupil, although no one else seems to. Ahaha.

*Takes notes*

Anyway at the cost of a Tal, Shael and Pdiamond you would get a Silk with some 800+ defence but needing 170 strength. *shrugs*

I think I would do it IF I was playing a melee-type and didnt mind that weaker chars wouldnt be able to use it.

I recommend upgrading the Silks of the Victor only if it is a perfect 120% Enhanced Defense Silks, that way you'll have an armor on par with all the exceptional armors but with unique stats.

This policy would apply to many other items, not just Silks. Good luck.

I upgraded one of my goldwraps (more potions, a must imho) and one of my goblin toes (extra def), since I am pretty sure I will be wearing those for quite some time to come. I might even upgrade them to elite for the added def, but not too sure about that... pretty expensive for a broke-*** player like myself and not sure I will make the requirements :)

Buriza? Harmony is better and cheaper, and doesn't require something like 187 strength.

I'm going to upgrade the Silks Armour as it will give me something better than i've got at the moment.

Bit worried about how heavy it is but it's only going to cost me Tal Shael and a PD so if it doesn't work out it's hardly a big loss.

I only play about 10 hours a week and i've got 7 characters so I've not got any mega gear. Everything "uber" trades for pul or um or suchlike and with the amount of time I've got I've never seen a pul and only a few um's.

imho if you are as "poor" as me upgrading and runewords are the only way to get a decent character. Upgrading normal items is incredibly cheap and my favourite runewords are spirit and insight. you get alot of bang for your bucks with those 2.
