It's a big bestiary update, Bashiok was right its a nice update.

The fallen ones are back and it seems we'll go insane trying to kill them xD

The page says that when one of their brothers die, they retreat, and that fallen shamans can resurrects imps.

Now i'm 300% more excited about Diablo 3 ... that's indeed one awesome update after so much drought.

I like the new Fallen types added (very nice variety) and the back story to how they ended up like that.

I specially like the Lunatic ... blowing those guys up will be lots of fun XD

To me it's what that little bit of lore implies... I doubt very highly that Azmodan was mentioned just for fun. I take it as a confirmation that he's in the game somewhere.

Plus, there are already three additional types of Fallen shown here that were not in D2. And at the end he mentions two others. It gives me hope that monster variety is going to be huge.

Why do you have to be so freaking depressing .. it has been ages since the last proper good D3 update.

If you aren't excited about the game then i presume you are at the wrong place right now .. and you call yourself a diablo fan (theoretically of course) .. shame on you.

True .. hopefully not only Azmodan but the other lesser evils too will be involved ... and it will even be more impressive if we get to fight them as bosses.

I forgot about the other two mentioned ... that makes it around 7 different types of fallen .. and that's just fallen ... i wonder how many monsters are going to be there !!!

I'm just saying you are overreacting about this update. That's another bestiary update. Not a complete Witch Doctor's skill tree for example.
You are right. It has been ages since the last update. So we deserved more.
I'm a Diablo's fun and play it since the beggining. That's why I need to see something really new.
There'll be lots of monsters in this game. They can't keep feeding us with that and we act like cheer leaders every time they do that.
I was expecting really new info. But I guess I'm gonna have to wait for Blizzcon.

I'm glad you all are happy about this update. I'm not. I guess WE gonna have to leave with that.

That's kind of stuff is what Blizzcon and WWI are for .. they can't waste it on regular updates.

It's an upgrade from the old predecessors, now we have more variations of the fallen instead of just 2.

Finally, a substantial update! I'm just glad this one wasn't a bestiary entry about those dumb little bat things in the gameplay vids.

Anyway, I'm excited about the new Fallen! The hounds and overseer are really cool, but I'm not really into the lunatics for some reason (although I'll bet most other Diablo fans will love them). I don't know, just don't like their models I guess. :/

I hope the imps can ride the hounds as mounts. That'd be cool. Also, not sure if anyone noticed, but the male Wiz is in one of the new pics! XD

I always saw those fallen as some sort of half structured society. Now, they just turn out as a bunch of strange things that don't really fit together.

I think they could have done more with the 'class'.

I liked it, it doesn't need to "fit together", although it's quite obvious the fallens would've evolved over the years, thus spawning new different variations.

And you keep your hopes too high, Blizzard would never announce the new classes in small updates such as these, but at events like Blizzcon.
Who knows there might not even be a release for the one in August :whistling:

I suspect the existence of at least two other types of fallen, but I will need to conduct further research before I reveal my theories as to the ultimate familial structure of these fiends.

Hmmm, there were different variations in D2, namely, carver, devilkin and dark ones. Maybe they were mentioning those?

I like the new versions of the fallen, they seem a whole lot more savage than the previous ones. The one thing I'm not a fan of, though, is the exploding variant. The exploding guys in D2's Act 5 were rather annoying, so if the fallen end up anything like that, I at least hope they're used sparingly.

Their discription says it all... exactly like the ones in D2 Act 5. And from the screenshots it looks like there will be swarms of them. Okay with me, they are a nice variation of mob AI/damage.

It looks like Blizzard took the overseers from D2 act 5 (those with whips turning their minions into a frenzy), the exploding guys, and combined that with the fallen into the current fallen. The dogs are really new and cool though.
All in all I like the update, now I can hibernate until august I guess?

Their discription says it all... exactly like the ones in D2 Act 5. And from the screenshots it looks like there will be swarms of them. Okay with me, they are a nice variation of mob AI/damage.

Their description says they have to stab themselves until they explode. This is quite different from those act 5 monster that explode instantly. It seem to me like there will be delay between reaching the monster and exploding, give the player the chance to dispose of them before they explode.
This is a way to force people to face certain monster at the start of the battle when they actually don't want.

You want to take them out as fast as possible, yet if you don't kill the shamans, they might be resurrected immediately after you kill them.
