Upd Viper Vs Ormus

cant choose the one i want to equip on my bliz sorc. any insight????

Is it Pvp? or Pvm. Up'd Vipermagi is good for PvM while a +3Blizz 15%Cold Ormus with a 5/5 Cold Facet is nice for PvP. Though youll need to get more resist somewhere else.

(Assumes pvm) Unless you need the resists on Viper to survive, go for a Blizz Ormus. On the other hand, Blizzard is already very powerful with two maxed synergies and max CM, so if you need the resists take the Viper and enjoy the boost to your one point wonders and a slightly higher fcr.

Well sorcs generally have low def anyway so dont worry about it.

Defense isn't that important for a sorc - your merc should take most of the melee beatings, and your shield will take 75% of those that go your way (if you've got a max block build). You could socket the Ormus' with an Um, if that satisfies your resistance needs - but maybe there are better and cheaper ways to get the resistance? You have to look at the rest of your gear and see which one will fit in the best.
