Untwinked SP Sin asking help

Good day to you all,

Although I'm not really an Assassin forum regular, I found the courage to pose a few questions, as I really need some good input on my Sin :)

The Sin I'm talking about's called Nerda, her skills at level 55:

20 Tigerstrike
20 Dragon Tail
1 Cloak of Shadows, Fade, Shadow Master, Burst of Speed
1 Phoenix Strike

It's about the latter skill I'm in serious doubt at the moment. As it is, I've got about 30-35 skillpoints left, and I'd like to invest them in Phoenix Strike, but I don't know how :x

How will the damage be at level 20, and which synergies will I want to invest in most? I'd already figured it has to be either Blades of Ice or Claws of Thunder, since I'm already dealing fire damage with Dragon Tail. How will the damages be, after those skillpoints are spent in a distribution between Phoenix S, BoI and CoT? I envision her to be ready at about L80-85, once she is matted she may be twinked, but for the process of matting her I'd like some backup skill, as I'm in NM now and frequently encouter FI monsters, which I can't leave to my merc, it being untwinked as well.

So, 30/35 skillpoints, good cold or lightning damage with Phoenix Strike, help me please :)

Edit: I'm also having problems with my Attack Rating. Should I use the Angelic Ring/Amulet, or are there better sources?

Regards,,

You'll want to invest in the lightning synergy rather than ice for sure. It's better damage, and more quickly applied, and Phoenix3 will still be nice situationally for freezing. CoT itself works very well with a Dtail release.

I should warn you that you're still going to have a tough time killing PIs and FIs untwinked, but it's the best course if you go MA. (An alternative would be to go LS + DS. Much safer, and probably easier too, though not as efficient from a skills standpoint.) You're really going to want every +skill you can get to make it work--fortunately those will help Dtail a lot as well. I'd aim for level 26+ Phoenix Strike/CoT.

Exact damages can be found on any skill planner. There's an excellent one listed on the AS.

For untwinked AR, I rely on CoS, eth runes, BA or Act 1 mercs, and all the +AR I can find/gamble. The angelic combo is great, though I've found those jewelry slots pretty essential for resists. I play hc though, so that might not be as big a consideration for you.

TY, going to try that :) Switched to the Angelic combo, resists aren't too shabby, 2x3 sockets filled with resists in armor and helm, will hang out untill Hell, and then I've got a big problem I'm afraid :p

Yah, it's tough untwinked, especially since Fade isn't as good an option for Dtailers. If you're concerned about resists, Smoke armor, gambled rare jewelry, and all the resist charms I can find/cube have very often been my best friends in Hell.

Ditched the Angelic set, got a +2 shadow disciplines ammy, use CoS now, much more fun + added bonuses in SM, BoS, WB :)
