@CC, find a build you are happy with and try that out. If you only play what other's tell you, you'll miss out on a few fun chars.

I am not specifically trying to play what others tell me too. I want to have fun, but if I cant kill anything in hell, that isnt my idea of fun.

Although I guess I can try and learn.

Yeah, I can see your point, but still I'd not set too much store into other people's opinions. If I had done that I'd probably not have played a single character the way I actually did. Most, if not all of them, had at least one thing that seemed "stupid" at first glance.

If you'd ask me for a skill allocation it would look quite different from what you did. I could go on a long rant on what I'd do and why I'd do it, but I've done that plenty of times and everyone is probably bored with my opinion already so I've erased that.

i took an untwinked frenzy barb through the game in 1.10... my first 1.10 character. it isn't that equipment dependant if you use max war cry. WC lasts for ~6 seconds in hell, and if the monsters can't move, then you can take your time killing them off, so you don't need that much specific gear. of course the ancients were still really really hard, and took a lot of time, effort, and luck. but its certainly a viable build.
