Unsure of Proper Posting

Message Posting Check:
What is the easiest way to confirm a message has been posted properly, on the correct thread/forum as well as the easiest way to navigate the unread messages.
Also, should all posted replies be responded to out of politeness or does this just clutter up the system.
Finally; should I be using the Single Player Thread/Form for my problem resolutions' for right now its' between me and the computer in preparing both the Barr. and I for Battlenet. (? if you can transfer your character ?)
By the way; still stuck in Hell mode in that Maggot Lair trying to get the Staff.
Please Note: Do not use a can of RAID in the confines of the Maggot Lair for it decreases your Dim Vision by -1000%.
Thanks Unsure?

I am also unsure of proper posting.

If by message, you mean "private message," then they aren't posted in any thread, just sent to the recipient(s). If you mean a post (edit: like the thing you are reading right now), then you can verify its location by going to it and reading the forum tree near the top of the frame. Right now, mine says

Top Of Frame said:
Diablo 3 & Diablo 2 Forums > Diablo 2 Community Forums > Newcomer Forum > Unsure of Proper Posting
You can reply to everything if you want, but how would that work out if everyone did that? So, don't feel the need to always reply.

I have no idea what the rest of your post is about.

I would like to help, but I don't understand what you are asking for :)
If you don't know in which forum you should post your questions, it's easy, if it's related to a single player characters of yours, I would post them directly in the Single Player Forum. If you are playing online, post it here in Newcomer forum or in the general discussion or if it's related to particular class, post it in appropriate class forum.

Characters from Single Player could not be transfered to closed Battle.net.

If this was just a provocation, damn you ;)

Oooooh. I get it now. http://diablo.incgamers.com/forums/showthread.php?p=7004100

If you're still having problems, then if you make a trade/mp profile here, I wouldn't mind helping you over TCP/IP. I have never played tcp/ip aside from with someone in the same house as me, so it might be a pain to make it work, but I have a few characters that can surely stomp Coldworm for you.

I have a midterm to work on for the next few days, and then a lot of grading and other work, so maybe next weekend? (grad student with two teaching jobs. I teach 2 classes, TA for 3, grade/have office hours for a different 3, and I take two classes. I am able to do this with a little courage from my good friend, Jack Daniel.)

If you post somewhere here, then you should be able to find someone who is experienced with tcp/ip and is able to help you. Just tell them I sent you. (They'll say "who the hell is SnickerSnack?" but once you explain, "he's the guy who sent me," they'll say, "oh, okay.") Be sure to read all of the SPF, SPTF, MPF rules before posting. I'm not kidding about that. Not only is Thyiad fastidious, she has agents in other forums.....

If you're you really want to complete the quests on your own, then you may do well to make another (similar or very different) character, and play the game through. Sometimes it pays to have experience just playing the game, and maybe that's all you need to overcome that quest.

And as Krischan said in your other thread, you don't have to kill coldworm to finish the quest.

1. There is no need to ensure your post has been posted correctly. Spam! Double-post! Posted in the wrong place? Do it again in the correct forum. Posted in the right place? Post again in the remaining 10 forums to get more answers. All is considered friendly forum demeanor, and is encouraged by our moderators to keep this dying forum alive.

2. Respond to everything, no matter how little! People like feedback, but that is not important - what is important is your postcost. Unless you manage to break 1000 in a two weeks, you'll be stuck as a forum peasant for life.
