Unexpectedly good gear setups
Not 100% sure this fits here, but anyway
What are some gear setups you've used just to be different, but found them to be actually more effective (or at least more fun) than the norm?
I started a hammerdin in SP recently, and decided to use a helm (2 soc) and gothic plate (4 soc) full of perfect skulls instead of the usual sapphires. It turned out to work VERY nicely. With so much regen, I never had to use any mana potions while I was using that setup. Healing potion use was occasional, but still much lower than normal too.
