Unable to connect to Battle.net

Every time i try it says unable to connect to battle.net. So i went searching in diablo 2 folders( i have regular and expansion) and i found a file called BnetLog. I opened it and found this...."

5/27 09:51:31.415 searching for the fastest server
5/27 09:51:55.004 no servers found

Re: Unable to connect to Battle.net

No need to double post for that. It's a violation of the rules and your topic would stay on page 1 for at least 2 days anyway.

Anyway, on topic: registry crap is usually located somewhere in your 'system' directory. Maybe the patch couldn't apply because it lacks an entry there. I wouldn't recommend messing around there though.

Now two solutions come to my mind: first, try to manually install the 1.12 patch (download from Blizz site) and see if you can connect that way. If this doesn't solve your problem try to reinstall the game (you can back up characters on Single Player if you need to) and try to reconnect to Bnet again.

If that doesn't work either, try a combination of the above.

edit: of course the above solutions only apply if you have a legit copy including CD keys of D2 (and possibly LoD). Only legit CD keys get to connect to Bnet.

Re: Unable to connect to Battle.net

Hmm, it will get tricky then. Next set of questions:

- Are you sure you have 1.12 or does it just say you have the latest version?
- Does Single Player work?
- Could there be a firewall interfering with the connection?
- Are you playing just Classic or LoD?
- Is your brother playing with that exact same set of CD keys? (-> most probable cause)

Next time you bump a thread like that, I'll lock it no questions asked.

Please read the forum rules.

Re: Unable to connect to Battle.net

You bumped your own thread. I said the exact same thing in my first post here (double post = bump thread).

Re: Unable to connect to Battle.net

The forums have a natural bumping feature, someone responds and the thread goes back to the top of the forums. Your second post in this thread "Please help me out here guys" was posted 8 minutes after the thread was created, and it's a second consecutive posting in a thread without someone else posting in your thread. We refer to this as bumping and do not allow it. I understand you need/needed help but there was no reason to post that. It takes time for people to read a thread and respond. This does not take into account if or if not there are people actively viewing the forum when you post.

I can see if it was hours later or the next day and no one responded but please give people some time to read and reply before adding another post that serves no constructive purpose.
