First off: I looked through the stickied threads and this didn't really seem to apply. If I should have asked somewhere else, then I apologize profusely to Thy.
So I tried to install D2X on my ubuntu 14.04 laptop. The installers worked perfectly on wine, and after a little fiddling I got the game running just fine. (I can't enlarge the window without causing some serious issues, but other than that it seems to work.) I also installed ATMA, and it too seems to work just fine. However, when I open one of my save files (not all of them, just my blizzard sorc), both ATMA and D2 claim that the inventory is corrupted and proceed to crash. I can open her with no problems on my windows machine. At first, I thought I had just corrupted the files somehow when I copied them over to the laptop, but I've now replaced them multiple times (and tried opening with D2 first and with ATMA first) and the same thing keeps happening. Does anyone know what's happening?
