uber's summons

hi

i am playing a fanatic zealot.

i got organs easily so thought i should try ubers. today tried a uber run solo. i killed baal and diablo easily one by one without escaping to town but when searching for meph, he summoned many and i got swarmed and died of unfortunately.

i used prebuffed fade so i think i didnt die because of resist (even with conviction i had ~60 allres) , i did die because of mages summoned a lot and of course the game lag..., i had cast life tap on all on screen but couldnot even hit.

is there a tactic for dealing (not engaging) with the summons? tried to lure meph towards me but he summoned a lot in front of me and couldnot even reach meph or escape.

my gear is not so godly but have near %100 CB , high DS and chance to cast static field in each attack (useless after a point), reached 4fpa breakpoint , near 1300 life , 14k def, %75 block maxed, %35 gear dr + fade dr so %50 maxed dr should be and 500-4500 dmg each attack.

i appreciate any help...

sounds like bad luck. If you had life tapped and smited, you should have been healing via the smite. Unless of course you do really low physical smite damage that you didn't leech back fast enough for you heal up before Mephisto and his minions kill you.

To be on the safe side, I usually employ Salvation aura when attempting Mephy. Sounds like you're using stormshield which is good for the damage reduced by but also low on the damage too. You've got a decent build so I'm thinking it was just a deadly lag spike that screwed you over.

i didnot use skills on smite so 1pt, i dont use smite. also deal low dmg.

my shield is upg hoz sock with pdiamond. as i said i had around 60 all res when running to meph so didnot use salvation ,rushed with fanaticism again.

so question is, should i engage with summons or not, maybe no need, just rush meph, with a teleport ammy maybe or before it summons rush to meph before other bros.

btw i have 7 skills free which i thought i should leave for now. should i max smite? i read kingdryland's guide but dont have +damage items maybe it would be unnecessary.

got holy shield maxed ?

what gear you using, try Heavens Light (2os +2/3 skills, double shael), Dracs, Um'd Guilli's Face, & Gore Riders for starters, a decent def smoke does ok,

skills: zeal/sacrifice/fanaticisim/holyshield maxed, smite 7 skills

items: have anni, amn sock stormlash, guillaumme ,dracs ,dungo ,upg diamond hoz, gorerider, highlords, raven frost , rare dual leach str life ar ring, got many all res gcs/scs, duress wire fleece 1490def and many low mod charms

res: in hell total 105/122/116/81 capped at 75 all
