Uber Tristam Build for Werebear?

I am currently making the Kodiak as listed in the sticky of builds (Werebear and Hunger with Maul) and was wondering exactly what I'd have to do to be prepared for Uber Tristam. Granted, I'm not there yet but it never hurts to be prepared as I like to say so what sort of things should I do to be prepared? So far I've gotten most of the items on the build FAQ and was wondering would that be enough or whatnot? Any advice would be great. Thanks!

I'm not very good with bears, but if it's the same standard as wolfs get Chains of Honor armor for huge resists and the Ribcracker for loads of Crushing Blow. That always comes in handy. Oh and Dracul's Grasp gloves!

Well it seems that our build is about attacking really fast with FHR (152% being the very amazing tier) and just continuing to leech using hunger (dual leech) which would make sense because the times you aren't attacking are the times you aren't leeching meaning your health goes down. I love it when I see like a little bit of red left and one attack and my health is half or even full. I was just wondering exactly what I should be looking forward to. I must admit I have yet to see another bear so that might make it interesting. Any advice would be great.

IIRC Uber Meph is not leechable and the other Ubers have very low leech effectiveness. Lifetap is critical.

Hunger doesn't do much against bosses... meh, hunger sorta sucks against non-bosses too lol. I do not like hunger with a one handed weapon setup it pretty much gives the same sorta leech as like... normal maul with ~25-30% leech, and you kill far slower normal play, I almost only used it as a mana battery more than an effective means of killing/leeching. This was using lvl 92 Maul/Hunger bear with azurewrath/ss, cerebrus, string, highlord dracs btw.

However, on the flip side although I don't use 2-handers often with Bears, I did try using a Tombreaver with him and it was the pwnzorerer! My conclusion pretty much is... Hunger just can't be as effective with one handers, it's almost made for 2-handed setup.

Shoot... what was my point, I know I had one... >.<

oh yeah, you'll deffinitely want to use a shield for Ubering, so I suggest dropping Hunger all together, and maxing Lycanth, Werebear, Maul, Oak, and Dire Wolves, then throw 1 point in Grizzly and have him just to tank. You'd be surprised, a good lvl 33-34 grizzly buffed can tank quite a bit and get you outta danger, and you'll be neck deep at times, I highly advise it, he'll work AWESOME with shockwave. Anyways, yeah :) :thumbsup:

Hunger Wolf can attack while IMed and gain life (with LT). Do that with Maul >.>.

Also, why not just SW minions, walk in, whack, SW, whack, SW, win?

Oh yea, shockwave, lol.

About Hunger, its great in normal and even in nightmare, in hell it really starts to lack imo, certainly on a bear for some unknown reason.

True, Hunger's a secondary attack in Hell. However, it can't be "replaced with a stronger attack and more Leech".

Wow, so many things to consider. I do notice that a very amazing way of killing is SW then maul/hunger and then repeat until all dead. I did notice that hunger wasn't as good in Hell than norm and NM. It's just something unique. I think I may need to get Dracul's because the leech in hell aint too great and I'm sure dracul's would do a lot better. Why couldn't I just did a cookie cutter sorc and be able to do mf runs and whatnot...lol. It's going to be hard because here I am at level 79 and not sure where to put my skills. I was thinking about summons. What level should you be to run Uber Tristam?

Just to let you know, I am planning to reroll another Kodiak bear but with Town Dump focus. What should be the name? Right now it's "AintNoCareBear" but not sure what I should make. Should I just do a holder and then xfer again and remake that character name?
