Uber meph - dead end?

During the sp tests using the mod that allows uber tristram to spawn in SP, I killed uber dia and uber baal extremely quickly with a light trapsin + infi merc. (ofc it was nothing compared to fury werewolf with 17k dmg, 4 fps and amp damage from lacerator, but it still was faster than most of the smiters can do) I couldn't damage uber meph, though. From what I read on arreat summit, his light resist is 110, so it should get broken, but the traps clearly did 0 damage even with lower resist cast on him (from a wand). Wtf? Fire blast did fine, but he recovered with the speed of the fireblast damage (which was 7-8 k, don't remember exactly), and the merc could get him to about half HP through crushing blow, but couldn't damage him further.

Is there a way to kill him with a solo light trapsin or is it a no-no? i've succesfully washed away everything else, including uber lilith >_> That would be kinda sad, since it's my favorite char.

Sounds to me as if you're modding more than just the Uber mod. Using an editor to create "dream" equipment perhaps? I guess what I'm saying is that neither Uber D or Uber B will go down "extremely quickly" to traps and merc damage alone. Unless of course the Uber experience is "toned down" in SP. A good light sorc with 50k+ damage can't touch Baal or Diablo

yea, I've used the editor to give her best stuff, albeit I have most of it already on BN (torch, eni etc). I miss infi and a bit of skillers only.

The mod I am using simply switches on the uber event (I think..), I don't think it nerfed the ubers in any way. I'm not 100% sure, ofc.

ah yeah, the merc damage is nothing, most of it comes from traps and fireblast actually.

I assumed as much. My only thought on the matter is that the Uber mod must have nerfed the Ubers somewhat, as on realms the Ubers won't be scratched by straight elemental damage. Crushing Blow is the only way to quickly reduce their life so they can be killed by physical damage(the last sliver of life). That being said, my smiter can complete the entire quest in sub-1 minute, my kicksin in ~5 minutes. If I took a trapper in there on realms it would be an exercise in disappointment I'm afraid. Lightning Sentry can "only" reach ~15k damage IIRC, and this simply wouldn't bypass the Ubers' regen.

Well, my test smiter kills them also around ~1 minute, although the test fury druid needs only around 5 seconds to kill each of them (counting from the moment amp damage kicks in, and that happens rather fast with lacerator's 33% chance). Things like perf pride and perf eth tomb reaver are simply too godly to take them into consideration on ladder, though.
Anyway, I see your point: trapsin just can't do it. Pity.

From your descriptions you're either modding gear heavily or the Uber event is extremely nerfed, or both.

I'm using plugy 7.01b to unlock pandemonium event, gear isn't modified

Much of the coding for the Ubers is server side, so the mod that allows them does not give the full BNet experience. Do a search for more info.

Maybe their regen is nerfed? Anyways, to answer your original question, Meph's conviction > yours, so his resist is not lowered and he can't be damaged.

I use a lightning trapper to collet the 3 body parts, eye, brain and horn and she does it quite easy and a lot quicker than my smiter could, (better geared) but yeah, taking her into the ubers was truly an "exercise in disappointment".

Their regen is about 20k hp per second so I don't think it's nerfed
