Tyrael's Might + hel

Just wondering, what would happen when put a hel in Tyrael's Might Sacred Armor, knowing that it does not has any strength requirment, would it become + str??

Probably nothing. I beleive it will have the same effect as putting 3 bers in a hone sudan, 105% CB but that's just as effective as 100%. I could be mistaken, but this is how it seems to be to me.

IIRC hel reduces requirements by a percentage, not a hard number. Any percentage of 0 is still just 0.

that is exactly what I try to get at, the requirement been reduced by 100%. From whatever the requirement to 0. now if there is a further 20% reduction, it should yield -120% on strength. Obviously, that means to give 20% to strength mathematically.

But we are not maths class but in Diablo world. How would it turn out??

That said, say this unique hammer call.. steel driver, have – 50% requirement, and require strength of 50 to get it working. i.e. original 100Str.

if you put a hel into it, does it become

-70% requirement? (i.e. 30str)

Or 20% of 50 =

- 60% requirement.(i.e. 40 str)

There's probably an extremely obvious and simple line of code that doesn't allow negative requirements. Subtracting more than 100% doesn't mean it suddenly gets to add the difference. And it certainly doesn't equate to adding to one of your stat categories.

At least, it makes no sense for that to occur. We are talking about Blizzard though, so it probably gives you lvl 33 synergy points for your favorite skill :xparty:

There's actually no reason why sub-zero requirements should make a difference. All that the stat requirements for equipment do is say, "If your stats are higher than these numbers, you can use this gear. If not, not."

If the stat requirements are negative, then obviously anybody with positive stats (which is to say, anybody) can use the gear. For instance, an item with a Strength minimum of -40 can be used by anyone with a Strength of -40 or higher. It's effectively the same as having a Strength minimum of zero.

Positive stat requirements do not reduce your stats, so why would negative stat requirements raise them?
