Typical clan behavior - "ROFL, lolz, n00b, lamo"

Well, I was in a Diablo run today hosted by a clan that Im not sure that I can mention here, but the only 3 words they used was "ROFL, lolz and n00b" and they kept bragging on and on how good they're items were, and this is not the only time I have been in a game hosted by a clan, I notice that most of the clans call other noobs or whatever. Is this the typical clan behavior? Are there any GM clan's?

Ok, I have been in some games where the clans are GM, but that is rare..

Clan bashing is always gonna happen, especially for those "GG" clans.

I'd really hardly call any group in D2 a clan, as there is no in-game clan stuff. Jerks ban together too, that's not too surprising.

I just watch them and laugh to myself or whisper people on my /f l and share the highlights of the comments made in-game with them. Usually good for a laugh amongst friends. If they start talking smack to me though, I find it quite entertaining to point out the fact that they have died about 15-20 times in their "Godly CS runs". Which is usually the case because they're so busy spamming "noob" and bragging about how they know all the "GG Dupers" on the realms.

It's also very entertaining to see how quickly they'll turn on their "clan mates" when one doesn't share the same views as the rest. Drama at it's finest. It's also very easy to scoop up nice drops because they're so busy being morons, they don't see them. Usually squabbling over that cathan/angelic ring that someone scooped up earlier. "drop it or runs over noob!" Ahahahahahaha! They also have a need to ascert their dominance over the rest just because they made the game. Oh noes! Their's is the ONLY game on bnet!!!! Funny stuff.

Agree with Merrick, calling a bunch of 13-14 year old kids who mock other players in pub games a clan is a dirty shame. When I played Star Craft I was in a clan, and I think we acted like a clan, since we trained each other, battled other clans and other stuff like that. And everything was done with good mannors.

I asked this clan if the maximum age for joining was 14, all I got was "omg" "leave n00b":grin: Funny stuff.

I honestly think your best hope for finding one would be to start one.

How some of these groups manage to recruit is beyond me. You must have to pass some sort of jerk test, PK at least a hundred level 9s to prove your leetness ... who knows what else.

They give free items to those who join. They also do "tryouts", which are nothing more than giant squabblefests.

A search in player matchup will surely show a coupple hits on "clan" that could turn out GM, myself I'll stick with SoV (Scions of Valhalla). Founded by Arbedark, Flux and Epheria from this forum, and as far as I've seen we are GM

    "ROFL, lolz and n00b"

They only used those 3 words, and they could brag about their items? =O
"ROFL NOOB ROFL LOL NOOB ROFL LOL LOL LOL"
=My COA is probably a dupe

But yeah... one of my friends used to go into "Join my clan" games just for the pleasure of killing everybody in there... I never quite understood why... but I do know that he got a DC spawn 3 times ^^
