Two shadowmaster questions

Ok so I have a few shadowmaster questions. I tried searching for them but couldn't find em =/.

Ok:

1. A shadow master uses a skill more often if you have more points into it. However, lets take for example I cast a shadow master and I don't have any points into mind blast but I am wielding 2 claws that each add +3 to Mindblast. I do have 1 point into each of the other shadow skills. Everything is currently lvl 1 though while the mind blast is level 6. Will the shadow master have a higher preference in casting the mind blast or does it only cast it more based on hard used skill points.

2. The power level of the spell cast by a Shadow master is based on the level of the shadow master + the skill level of the spell right? Is it based on the hard used skill points of the spell or total level of the skilling (including +skills). If so what is the equation that gives the level of the skill cast by the Shadow master.

It will use skills most often if you have them, yes, however every shadow master has full access to all assassin skills except shadow warrior and shadow master. If you have 20 points in mind blast, it will use it more often, but that isn't to say she'll never use Phoenix Strike, even if your level of PS is zero.

As far as her skills, I cannot remember, but I believe they go up with the levels of Shadow Master, but I am uncertain as to how much or at what rate. But I am almost certain that your skill levels do not affect your shadow.

They key thing i am wondering about is

Basically does she only cast more based on hard skill points used or is it based on the overall level and since the mindblast would be higher than anything else she would use it more often (so even if i don't invest any hard skill points into it the extra + skills from the claws boosts it above all else)?

id say that 1 hard point would be needed...but thats just a guess i always have 1 point in mb by default, id rather have venom/fade/traps on my claws.

The skill level question is easy. It's ((1/3 of the level you cast her at, rounded down) plus (1/2 of your current level in the skill she's using, rounded down.) Soft or hard points, it's all the same to her. But the latter part of the equation is recalculated every time she uses the skill.

As far as probability of skill use goes, I don't know if it matters whether they're soft or hard points. My guess is it doesn't matter, but it is just a guess.
