TS/CoT/Dtailer questions... should really deciede where im going with this build...

ok so im lvl 38 right now and i really need to decide what im doing before i continue playing. i have:
8 skill points in CoT, 9 skill points in Dtail, 6 skill points in TS and another 3 in PS.
rest for prereq and lvl 30ish like venom etc... nothing in traps.
i have a few questions.
1) should i invest in PS? i wanted to max it as a synergy for CoT but if i want to use it its too weak.
2) right now im using C/C. for TS and PS i dont need C/C cause as u know it uses one claw only. what should i do? should i stick with C/C or move to C/S?
3) when i charge TS and release it with Dtail, the physical damage is an AOE or only for the one i hit? i think its AOE isnt it?

any more suggestions about this build will be great.
thanks.

I'm not so greatly experienced in Sin, but I'm geathering exp now so treat my words with a pinch of salt, though you might find my views helpful.

Considering your so-far investmens I'd do this:
1) invest primarily into PS - maxing out CoT will be only a half-resort, bacause later in the game there's a hell load of lightning imunes bastards. Having PS well developed gives you room to choose which elemental damage you NEED to deliver (need instead of want, for some of monsters will be just happy to recharge their batteries with your thunders :). Icing them still is an option, and gives you time to quickly readjust your tactics towards specific foe.
Also, if I'm not mistaken, you get better synergies to PS from CoT, rather than CoT from PS, which means that every additional point thru skill items will boost your PS more than it would CoT. and you get to keep the flexibility of choosing the most apropriate damage.

I understand that you want to make your lightnings a killer. good, but be sure they will be of no use alone many times (if you plan to reach Hell lvl).

On top of that PS is much faster that CoT. read some on IAS - it's pretty complex but quickly tells you that you will need huge amounts of IAS attributes to become effective (still thinking about Hell ?:)

of course you will deliver added damage from DTail and TS, ok, but I'm not sure if this is enough. mind that in order to deliver a huge pack of damage you have to: charge TS, then Cobra (if you want your life & mana replenished, and to stay alive) and then PS.. and only then Dtail ! In the end speed is crucial, so elemental skills will slow you down heavily. that's a good reason to opt for PS.

2) basically, you should try to plan your build down to a single detail. why? because you can't re-allocate your skill & stat points once you L-click on the icon :) so? how many points will you have left after maxing out all you planned so far?

ok, here's what I'm getting at:
if you plan to use c/c you should think about Block (only works dual-wielded) and save some stat points to distribute between Strength and Vita.

if you go c/s be sure to invest heavily in Dex to keep your shield of any use (you need a whole load of Dex for your shield to maintain 75% blocking). that means fewer stats in Str and Vita.

Think about it before L-clicking.

I presently use c/c quite happy with my 50+ blocking, but that is my plan and I will have lots of stat points for Vita, crucial for any close-combat character.

In my previous build I got more & more frustrated having to channel stats into Dex and being only moderately satisfied with the shields effectiveness.

Obviously, this is just a piece of advice. You decide what to do with it.
My plan is to max:
- PS
- DClaw
- Venom
- Block
(havent't decided between BoS or Fade yet since I already got some nice IAS items, compensating for lack of high BoS)
Using c/c and flex with elementals thru PS. But I know I can allocate lots in vitality, for example...

3) decipher AOE for me please :)

Hope it helps.

First of all, thanks for your huge reply :).
it helps alot.
now, im lvl 43 now. moved on a lil bit and now have +30 extra stat points and +6 skill points to spend.
my plan is to max PS first, then TS and then Dtail, rest in CoT. i also think ill move to C/S cause both PS and TS require use of only one claw.
its a bit too late to start change my build, so i think ill just stick to my plan.
ill have to invest some stats in dex but i have extra anyway.
i hope i wont get stuck in hell. im working pretty hard on my char right now.
thanks again.
