Nice, i am really looking forward to see if there is a hard cap. Also after that its a good idea to do the same with dodge. Reply as soon as u have some results mate! :)

Haha, I was thinking of doing that next. Seems I won't have too now.

And if anyone wants to help for the lvl1 stuff, the best place is Headrig's apprentice body. It can only be in 4 places on the map, once you learn them it goes pretty quick.

    Re: Trying to max armor

It's a reasonable post on EH for sure. In D3, I think the EH notion is too simple and non-inclusive to be really useful as a gear selection/customization tool for tank builds given that most end-game rares will have the option for 6 max lvl attributes, there will be items with str/vit/dodge/hps/lifesteal with sockets and deciding the optimal point between str/vit may be obvious, it gets more interesting with dodge and much more interesting with hps vs lifesteal vs life per hit vs life after kill in coming up with an optimal HC survival kit. Looking forward to it!

    Re: Trying to max armor

Can you do any math regarding this build. http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/wizard#QP!U!ca

The key to this build is to have 0 vitality and 0 armor and instead use dex for dodge. (What is the lowest amount of health you can have as a lvl 60 char? donno, but it should be pretty low?)

A rank 7 force armor have been reported to reduce all attacks to 26% of your life. With no vitality (extremely low health) and the passive, galvanizing ward, you should have no problem to regenerate all your hp in a matter of a second or so, at least with the help of more hp reg on equipment. Then add a really huge dodge rate to that. omg?!?

I mean, you should be impossible to kill unless you are receiving like 10 attacks per second ??? Any thoughts?

    Edit: Oh, I almost forgot.

    http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/wizard#QPW!U!caa

With ,magic weapon -alabaster, you'll have around 5% life on hit. With 5000 dmg, thats + 250 hp/per attack.

    Re: Trying to max armor

Just a small correction, you probably do not want dex as a wizzard, you would want +dodge for your experiment.

Also, given that there are skills that trigger whenever you take more than 15% of hp in a single hit, if you were to specifically try to gimp your hp, my guess is that you will frequently end up with 1/4 chunks of your hp draining, enough to probably slip through the cooldown of the familiar.

I think my concern in such a build would be ranged. You would need to close the gap before they plink you to death so you could leach back. With teleport and Slow time, this could probably be a non issue... crazy build... let us know how it works!!

And just to chime in with my own madness:
    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/witch-doctor#bUgiTk!aVT!YaZZYY

That's probably close to my final WD survival build gear him up with vit/int/armor/dodge/thorns/hp-regen and go to town!

    I have a +10/46 coif if you're interested. It's not max but it's something.

Yes. This is why I play Diablo games. I may be wrong but I think this is the first real, data-based min/max post for D3 in it's final (most likely...) form. Thank you, sir!!

It's also the first hunt for very specific items that I've seen. Keep up the great work! Can't wait to hit the datamines (Heh) for info when we all hit level 60.

    Re: Trying to max armor

    In other words, EHP = HP * (1 + 0.02*armor/level)

So for example at level 10, 500 armor is equivalent to doubling your HP.
