Tricky question =) (smiter pvp)

ok. i may be totally wrong here but plz read it and contribute ur knowledge.
my smiter has 53% total damage reduction. is this enough?
also, i was testing a little bit with what runes i have in the items to give me the most HP possible.
so, i currently have 2 bers in my CoA and was planning to soc my HoZ with Jah.
But, Jah only gives +50HP in shields and 5% max life in helms.
Logically wouldn't it be more efficient to have Jah,Ber in the Coa and Ber in Hoz to still have 53%DR with more HP?
I came to this conclusion after testing with my Jah'd Shako which gave me +174 HP.
Now, i wonder if i will get the similar Hp boostage with jah in CoA ?
AND-- If the 5% to max life from jah will beat the +50Hp from jah after BO !
And yes, this is mostly used for melee pvp or smiter v smiter.

thanks for reading my newbish wonders and any input is very appreciated.=)

Any more than 50% DR is wasted, because that's the cap. So adjust ur current setup to reach that goal and not any further.

Also, I would not really waste a Jah on a measily 50 life. I would Um that Hoz, because you can never have enough resistances, especially with conviction and -res that other people can have.

50% dr is the cap
as for jah in shield or in helm , you can easily calculate the difference
+50 lfe in shield should be multiplied by % life increase from bo( someone correct me if that is not bo-able)
you should multiply your life by 5% before bo and then add to your life after bo (again correct me if im wrong)

It is boable, just as all +life except that from +vita or +life/lvl.

Wrong. The Jah's +5% is added to that of Battle Orders, so it's roughly 1.67 Bo levels. The more life you have before bo, the better Jah will be. The life (before bo) that you need to surpass a Perfect Ruby (+38 life) is 1563 life. However, this is with a lvl 20 bo.

It's actually quite simple. How much +vitality do you have in your gear? Once I know that, I can calculate the difference for you easily.

eh.. my bad, i forgot about the BK ring. i have +45life on it (lvl90)
Ok.

Here you have it:

Base life with no +vita or +life/lvl(2730 - 45 - (120 * 4)) / 1.83 = 1204.918033, rounds up to 1205.

The difference between a Jah and a Pruby:
[(1205 * 1.**) + 45 + (120*4)] - [((1205 + 38) * 1.83) + 45 + (120 *4)]
2790.4 - 2796.69
=
-6.29

Negative result means that the second option (Pruby) gives more life than the first option (Jah). The difference is actually very small as you can see, 6.29 life after bo, meaning 3ish life before bo. With a Paladin, that means an average of 1 stat points in vitality. With that said, you would be better off with a rune that gives +10 to either dexterity or STR in case you need to add any at all.
