    Tri Elemental Sorc Idea

How feesable could this build be in Hell...

Tri Elelmental Sorc: ( finished at level 99 :/ )

    Fire:
    20 Fire wall
1 in all Fw pre skills
    20 Fire mastery
    1 Warmth

    Cold:
    20 Orb
    1 Cold mastery
    1 Frozen Armour
    1 in all orb preskills

    Light:
    20 nova
    20 light mastery

    Gear:
    Nightwings 5/5 cold die
    Eschutas 5/5 light die
    Mage fist
Enigma (gives tele - saves 2 hard skill points)
    2* Soj
    arach
    Tri res boots
    spirit 35fcr
    Maras

    Switch:
    Cta (+1 all skills shout)
    Spirit

    Inventory:
    Torch
    Anni
    2 light sks
    2 fire sks
    3 cold sks
    6 all res scs

    Merc:
    Infinity
    Forti
    Andys

    THIS WILL GIVE:

    105fcr
    19 to all Sorc skills
    +3 fire skills
    +2 light skills
    +3 cold skills
+45 all resists in hell (if good anni + torch + boots)
    65 fhr - (10 from boots 55 from spirit)

    Fire wall damage: 15k
    Nova damage: 2164-2812
    Orb Damage:704-735
    Cold mastery: -130%

    Good all rounder i think!

Obviously getting to 99 to finish the build isnt going o happen, so ide put less into fire mastery and try to get to 95 instead.

Also the gear is pretty steep, but i think if your rich and bored, could be worth a try. Will be a while before i can make this in the new ladder though :p

Sounds cool, but it's pretty unlikely you're really gonna use all three elements I think...Ofcourse there's the occasional immune, but most of the time that's either a fire/cold or a lightning immune. Lightning+Other ele is quite rare (if it even exists - I haven't played in a year or 3...).

I reckon you could be original and go for Nova/Orb or Nova/Firewall. This is on Bnet I presume - Ofcourse this would be totally kick-*** in 1.09 :whistling:

As a fun build yes, but it won't be very usable on hell ;)

Would not do well at all, simply not enough damage.

You may get by doing solo runs only because of the help from infinity, but when you start adding players the damage this build deals isn't going to be sufficient. There is also no need for a tri-element sorc, boss monsters have at best immunity to two elements.

Yeah your merc is really your third element - physical - for no skillpoint investment, able to take care of the few individual dual-immunes you run into.

if u have infinity, wats the point of having more than one element? just make a light sorc and blast the crap out of everything in sight :)

    Re: Tri Elemental Sorc Idea

    1) There's still high-resist broken immunes
    2) You need super-expensive (on Ladder, at least) gear...if you dont have it yet, you might still be better off with a CL/FO sorc till you acquire it and then respec. Hell, last ladder I kept CL/FO even after I got full uber gear, just because the second element is still faster vs most broken immunes.
    3) Same reason not everyone wants an Engima Hammerdin?

    Re: Tri Elemental Sorc Idea

The main reason to do this Tri-Elemental sorc was for a bit of fun.

in terms of killing speed a single or dual elementalist will allways win, but for a bit of originality and fun i thought this could be a build that will offer some entertainment.

Man, how many light sorc's, fireball, meteorb, blizzard sorc's have i made and are out there right now populating the diablo 2 playing grounds! Always nice to play something with a bit of originality.

I think it would kill at a reasonable pace with all that top end gear.

might try it and give you all some feedback when its done.

    Re: Tri Elemental Sorc Idea

i think you can have more fun if you make a nova/frost nova sorc (yeah, both)

but it will be crazy expansive.

    Just doesn't work.

2 skills max. CL/FO, or Meteorb.

Or you go pure light, fire or blizzard

The other builds are really just toys.
