Trapper *** needs Merc suggestions...

When and if we ever get a Ladder re-set (Stops typing to stop laughing) I'm gonna build another TrapAss. I say another, I havn't built one since 1.09. I'm tiered of the same ole NM ActII Merc. What other Merc is viable to a Pure Fire/Light/CE Trapper? I'd like to use a Rogue, if so, what new runeword bows and armor for her (merc) would best suit my trapper? I'm open to your suggestions, fire away.

OBTW, I'm gonna be playing HC as well.
 
id have to say an infinity on a act2 holy freeze merc would probaly be best for trapper pvm and pvp. If you dont like act2 mercs then a cold arrow and cold merc from a3 would be good too.

That just made me laugh.

Anyways, I would go for a rogue or a barb merc, the benefit to either of them is physical damage, if you go with an act 3 merc you want to avoid lightning and fire as you already have that in your build but a cold act 3 merc will destory corpses so that ruins your death sentry.

The Barb will provide a much needed meat shield for you as he can melee enemies while you light their arse_afire. He can also duel wield some heafty sword possibly poison damage based, like the venom runeword.

The Rogue has an advantage you can make her an area effect merc just by adding kuko's or another bow, possible make her a viable killer with an ice bow or some other newer runeword bow dealing with an aura and higher damages (elemental and otherwise).

The choice is really your's but I would stay away from the act 3 mercs as a trapper unless you don't plan to use death sentry.

I hate to push Act 2 mercs, but they also have the advantage of being able to carry Insight. If it had to be something else, I'd most likely go Act 5 in order to better pin down and cluster monsters.

The Fires Explosive Arrows/Bolts mod doesn't work on mercs.

Yea...I guess I'll end up HAVING to go with Act2 Merc. With an Infinity poleaxe he will cut the imunes down for me. Would you suggest Might merc? Does the Might aura increase my LS damage or is it just melee?
