Trang-Oul's Girth

Any one Know about gambling?

If I am on lv 76 and would like to gamble for Trang-Oul's belt, do I have to wait untill a "troll belt" comes up, or should i be wasting my money on Heavy belts.

So do Heavy belts become Battle belts and Troll belts?

If I was to Gamble for say the Immortal Kings Maul, which is a ogre maul, do i buy the normal mauls or should i wait for an Ogre Maul to come up?

So do Mauls become Ogre Mauls?

Thanks to all those with more knowledge and exp than me.

Yes. Odds are small though, and microscopic if you want it to be a set piece.

Edit: You can gamble set pieces, I gambled angelic amulet the other day.

It is possible to gamble sets and uniques. The odds are somewhere in the 1:1000 for set, and 1:2000 for uniques. Also, IIRC anything gambled has a 10% of being excepional and 5% of being elite. So the odds of getting a elite set item would be somewhere in the 1:20,000 range.

Just remember to gamble in Hell or a troll belt will never come up.

The chance for a belt with the right image being a TO belt is (chance to be an elite belt) * (chance to be a set item) = 1/30 * 1/2,000 = 1/60,000. This doesn't take into consideration that the gambling inventory doesn't offer the correct type of belt all the time. Good luck

BTW, a TO belt can be bought for 20 pgems.

Which is why you should spend all your money on Ancient Armors when you want a Tyrael's Might.

The odds of getting an exceptional or elite depends on formulas, and does not use a fixed value like the AS is suggesting. I sent a correction mail for the gambling page, so it's going to be fixed someday.

Excep chance = 1 + 0.9(Ilvl - excep_Qlvl)
Elite chance = 1 + 0.33(Ilvl - elite_Qlvl)

IIRC the ilvl needs to be equal or higher than the base item you're trying to gamble to be able to get it, which is Ilvl 82 for Troll belts.

Krischan is right...it would be Much faster to find and cube up gems to trade than gambling.

The best things to gamble are amulets but only when the character you are using is say...level 92 or higher as it really improves the odds of getting +2 skills on the amulet.

Good hunting!

I think it's actually technically impossible. I was reading about some bug in Diabloii.net that makes it impossible for anything higher than normal class belts to be gambled. In any case, the odds are absurdly long of ever getting a unique or set item from gambling and trying to roll for an elite set items makes them even longer. You're unquestionably much better MFing. Gambling is best for looking for really good rares that you you can upgrade to the elite version if you happen to get something with amazing stats.

I normally gamble for amulets and apart from 3-4 unspectecular unique/set amus, I once got a +2 Seraph's Hymn. That's no reason to gamble for amulets, of course, as the chance for getting such a rare unique amulet is probably even lower than the chance for getting TOs belt. I gamble for them with my L92 sorc, using the money I get from selling Pindle/Eldritch loot and hoping to get decent +2 skills amulets - Anya is on the way to Pindle anyway.
