Too little dex

I may have messed my level 73 hammerdin. As of right now I have 75 base str and the rest in vit. None in dex.

After reading this from the hammerdin guide:

Dexterity – you should be getting enough dexterity to reach a decent block rating with holy shield on, but I don’t suggest getting much extra dexterity, since you’ll eventually find a nice shield with good block. My paladin has around 125 base dexterity, I’d say that’s enough


Should I start again, this time putting a lot more into dex? If so should i have atleast 125 base dex?

If you get to level 89 or 90 you still have many points to place in dexterity. Reaching that levels is easy and fast in baalruns, your char is not messed, man.

Did you place some points in holy shield? Do you have some items that add stats? Holy shield is a must, if you place 6 - 8 points and taking in consideration the skills that your equipment will add your blocking will be nicely increased. Then get levels and place every stat point in dex until you get a nice blocking chance.

Edit: I have taken a look at my hammerdin stats without gear. My base dex is 109 at level 94. With full gear it gets to 166 and i have max blocking after HS with sacred targe.
