Title Recall: Anakha's NEW WTF of the Week

Evaluated? Does this man even need evaluation? I mean there's crazy, there's criminally insane and then there's just bat**** frigging nuts. I think this guy falls into category number three. :xeek:

    And... umm... ouch. :scared:

That's right up there with the woman who blugeoned her children with a rock because God told her to.

This is why religion should be banned. Or at least you should have some "Please advice..." speach at the start of all religious books or some fanatics will do this kind of frenzy in their "God given right". :D

Too bad he caused fatal harm to other family members, if he hadn't it would have been hilarious.

I think he'd have trouble topping this one anyway, I mean holy ****. The mental imagery of pulling your eye out with your fingers alone...

Do I still have to go to church on Sunday? I mean, I don't wanna go if it's gonna lead to me beating people's skulls in or pulling my own eye out of its socket. I like my eye right where it is. It works perfectly fine, and I wouldn't blame it for me sinning... Mr. Happy downstairs would probably be more to blame if anything happened.

This would assume that I have some sort of constantsy... and that I have a memory that goes back more than a day or so. Which I don't. Of either.

Or that I won't find a story of someone doing something even more crazy/stupid tomorrow. I wouldn't want to make that bet.

I agree with FFS. The bible should have some sort of disclaimer at the front that reads something like "Warning: Content is in no way meant to imply that you should bludgeon your family to death with a big ****ing rock or eviscerate their organs. God is not interested in such offerings. Content not to be taken literally."

Lets look at it from this perspective. How many deaths have occured as a direct result of listening to and taking literally cds with "explicit lyrics" stickers, as opposed to deaths as a direct result of reading and taking literally religious texts (with no warnings at all)?

Historically? Many, many, many, MANY more deaths are attributed to reading and taking religious texts literally.

I don't think the bible CAUSES people to go nuts... but it does seem to a popular place to get ideas and justification for those who are that way already. Hence why there should be a warning on the inside cover.

Talking about deaths, in 1996, more people died from vending machines falling on them than extacy overdose.

This above all is proof that the human race is doomed to destruction. Probably via something really, really stupid.

One day we'll build a vending machine so large IT WILL DESTROY US ALL!!!1!!

In much the same way that one cannot blame the actions of stupid people on music, movies or video games, one cannot blame the actions of stupid people on a religion (in exactly the same way in fact).

    That.....I...didn't know that...

I agree. I don't think either (music, movies, violence in video games, bibles, etc) cause it. It takes a degree of mental unbalance I believe to begin with. Funny thing is though, that out of those I just mentioned, bibles (and other religious texts) are the only things which have no form of warning. In my opinion (as a religious person) is that these religious texts are just as influential, if not moreso, then movies and music.

It's seriously a statistic that is correct though. I used it in my project to justify the use of drugs.

I'm in favor of, as one comedian said "More dangerous stuff and fewer warning lables." Willful stupidity should hurt. Extreme cases should be fatal.

I say let people kill themselves in whatever way they want as long as they don't hurt anyone else in the process. The quicker the better.
