TitanQuest?

Has anyone played this game? Is it a reasonable change-of-pace for Diabloii? Why won't Blizzard just give me Diablo3 ??!!!!!?!

I have it and it is buggy as hell. I got to one point in the game where I would run into this one area and I would crash to desktop. When I try to patch it, it tells me it cannot recognize the version. Pile of junk, stick to diablo!

Likely this should be a OT topic...

I played it a bit seemed ok. Nice graphics, but need a rather high powered system to run it. Little more linear story/quests than diablo. Big turn off to me was that no closed server network like bnet - multiplayer is on gamespy!!

I have read about the game being very buggy. I also read that this being on an open gaming site (gamespy) that cheating is rampant in multiplayer.

I played the demo when it came out.
Like you, my system wasn't able to play it on the 'better' quality graphics... even on lowest settings I was still experiencing way too much lag, which, in the end, made it way less fun than d2x

Played it for a while, had a hard time finding the right patch to have it stop crashing tho.

very linear, maps never change and chest remains at the same spot.

Beside those drawback its still a fun game with great graphic and many possible caracter builds.

As far as multyplayer goes, caracter are saved on your pc and not on server so its like open battlenet (many dupe and hacked items) so unless you know other people playing it, it is much more a singleplayer game overall.

Even if I don't sound to positive about it, I did have some great fun for about 2 month with it.

I tried to d/l the demo the other day but my browser is being a creep and keeps erroring my downloads, nice to have found some impressions here, saves me time

I d/led the demo. It's ok, but it feels very "slippery", it's hard to click on stuff sometimes. When you mouseover an item for the hover text it takes half a second to pop up, very annoying. When you click a chest all the stuff flies out, slowly lands, then slides across the ground a little before you can pick it up which takes an annoying amount of time. There seems to be a decent amount of item variety, and you can choose two skill trees out of 8, each has a few dozen skills, many are passives, but they are all kinda bland.

It's a fun game if you are 3-4 ppl and have a LANparty, otherwise I wont pay much attention to it. They were to quick with the release and the bugs are everywhere. And as said before, it's a very linear game, the only boss worth farming is the last one in each act, and he is so simple it's scary.

Stick to D2 =)

Using it frequently, but it's so nice to hear the words of wisdom from a warm real person, not from a mindless machine that incidentially grew from a successful porn resource. Anyway, thx.
