    Time to burn some bridges.....

**** you Tennessee! I have finally made up my mind, and I am getting out of this dead, rotting cystpool of a state. God help the pathetic souls that stand in my way.

I am sick of the dead end jobs. The dull college. Being the only single in 70 miles. Being in THE MIDDLE OF ****ING NOWHERE! and unable to afford to do anything. When I realized that most of my social life consisted of a certain game and EHarmony. (being single for 3 years does that to you) I decided to do something about it. Oh, and I hate the summer heat, and the rednecks.

I found a nice apartment in Louisville and a few reliable leads on decent jobs, and I can transfer my credits to the Uni or another small college. I used to live there, and still mantain good contacts. I move in December.

    I guess its another **** you, **** you, you're cool, **** you. I quit.:jig:

I gotta admit, I am sick of moving, and its very difficult for me to make friends, but some things just need to be done.

Why would anyone want to stop you? Why didn't you go 3 years ago?

Tennessee has rednecks, not a problem.

That's because you don't have a lot of experience with hicks. They can be a real problem, and once you get an infestation it's almost impossible to root out. Due to the climate we don't have genuine rednecks here, but only variations on the species. The difference is exclusively cosmetic though. If you ever get to Sweden I'll give you some good tips for hick safari's. Be warned... they'd just as soon shoot you as call the cops on you if you travel too far up the wrong road. If you don't own property or real-estate where they do you're not really a human in their eyes. If you do own where they own you are still suspect unless you act and think exactly like they do, but then you're not seen as an immediate physical threat at least.

    Bring a gun.

Yeah, i always tend to do that.

The last time the cops raided my place one of them said: here, this gun is just cleaned and well oiled. They found that suspect, to wich i said my guns are always just cleaned and well oiled, arent yours? He just looked at me with a stupid face.

That was a funny conversation, they said you are not allowed to have this gun without a permit. I claimed i am allowed to have that gun, i just do not have the permit. They didnt seem to understand me, they failed to see the difference.

Anyway, it was confiscated by the judge, gave me 3 months in jail for that. Thats why i always tend to buy cheap and old .45 acp's. They work great and are cheap.

I honestly don't think I understand it either. You mean that the law is BS?

And I thought you'd have to be an idiot not to keep your weapons clean. "Suspect" is a rusty gun found at the bottom of a lake, or buried in the back yard.

Moving to Kentucky to get away from Rednecks is like moving to West Virginia to avoid marrying your first cousin...

    -edit-

WTF is up with my spelling today?

Did you enter police school recently? =)

If i cannot have the gun without the permit then clearly not having the permit is the violation as opposed to having the gun being the violation.

    ...

I was still in High school and living with my parents. Bunch of other issues I really do not want to drag up.

I've got the origional strain here.
Let me put it this way. Louisville is like a New Chicago in a sort of way, a beacon of hope and gun legislation. Almost all the "deliverance" type steriotypes are in the eastern reaches.

I've been to Tenessee before. Chattanooga (I think I spelled that right) wasn't TOO bad, even if there was sweet **** all around. Except for busted down car places and every other building being a church...

... Oh right. Rednecks + bible belt = broken down cars and salvation. Meh, whatever.

Ahh... nit-picking. You must be every cop's dream.

You should have told him that if you can't have the gun without the permit, and you don't have the permit, then clearly you don't have the gun which means they just imagined the whole thing.

burning the bridges, lovely thing to do.
I did the same 2 years ago when I moved here....and even though now things have changed, I'm staying here, not moving back to where I never belonged.

How could you possibly move back now that the bridge is gone?

    :brainiac:

You must be a good swimmer!
