I would definetely go for holy shock myself, its an automatic 1900 dmg right there. I mean what is fana gonna do anyway? throwing damage is kinda measely, so it'd take a whole lot more than 350% to make it work. (iirc the highest unique thrower has something like 400 dmg, so that times three is only like 1600 total)

I have heard of 5k throwerrs out there, with charms and ed armors. That isn't anything to sneeze at, epecially since all javs are range 3 which makes them excellent charging and smiting weapons. Warning, though, you will need a fair bit of ias to hit your max smite speed, even with fanaticism.

An interesting sounding build. I was thinking of using this spear and Lacerator on switch.

Should I just use one of the Ranger guides then for skill placement?

thats a good weapon. I would go for max holy shield, smite, fanaticism, split the rest between defiance and blessed aim,most likely, or get an elemental aura. Warning::going to need considerable ias for max frame rates. Balrog spears aren't the quickest weapons.

Fire Damage To Attack: 643 - 713 (ø678.5)
[Synergy] Resist Fire: +360% Fire damage (18% / Lvl)
[Synergy] Salvation: +120% Fire damage (6% / Lvl)

HOLY SHOCK:
Deals damage every 2 Seconds
Range: 16.6 Yards
Lightning damage: 1 - 655 (ø328)
Lightning damage to attack: 1 - 3931 (ø1966)
[Synergy] Resist Lightning: +240% Lightning damage (12% / Lvl)
[Synergy] Salvation: +80% Lightning damage (4% / Lvl)

Seems like an interesting build/concept no? ...


I guess that as there are 0% boost to AR, the build will need A LOT of DEX to be viable in hell.
And btw, are the dmg of throwing weapons dependant of dex and str ?

with holy freeze instead of holy fire it seems EVEN BETTER ;)

I am building a melee/ranger hybrid right now that looks like a zealer but uses a noob cannon(buriza) on switch for the ranged attack. He doesn't have the best gear right now but I am working my way up there now( lvl 80).

Helm: Peseant Crown
Armor: G. Angel
Weapon 1: Griz Mace(cequedas?) with 3 amns
Shield: Moser's with 2 perf diamonds
Weapon 2: Buriza, Eth'd
Belt: Hwanin's (junk!)
Ammy: +1 Pally Off Skill with resists
Rings: 2 rares with life leech and resists and AR boosts
Boots: Silkweaves

I am by no means solo-ing hell but I am doing OK in act 5 now. Just trying to stay away from anything that can slow me down or freeze me...that hurts bad.
