In other news, OfWolfAndMan, the Druid, is doing Shenk/Eldtrich/Thresh Socket/Pindleskin runs, non-stop, on /players 3 for a combination of great experience and more items for the pool (although many usable rares are coming out of it too!)...

Character restrictions
1. Choose three characters - all characters must be different
2. All characters are to be Hardcore
3. Living characters must stay within one act of each other
4. Characters must utilise only TWO skill trees, not all three

Item restrictions
1. Items can be bought from ALL acts and difficulties
2. Items used may ONLY be Rare, Magic, Crafted, Normal or Socketed - there are to be NO runewords
3. The only exceptions are Runewords and Unique items that are for prize mules - they are not to be used by tourney characters at all
4. Mule ALL Set and Unique items
5. Skills granted by an item for a skill tree that you do not use cannot be used if that item is equipped (IE: If a Sorc is using Fire and Cold skills only, and picks up a Orb with +1 teleport on it, teleport cannot be used but the item can be used)
6. Charges on the other hand are allowed

Play restrictions
1. All quests MUST be completed (the only exception is Nihlathak’s quest in Hell difficulty)
2. Quests do NOT have to be completed in order, but all Act quests must be completed before moving to the next act
3. Visiting previous difficulties is not allowed unless to socket/imbue items
4. Trading is not allowed between different players in the tourney, but it IS allowed between your own three characters

Special notes
1. Cow King quests must be completed before proceeding to the next difficulty
2. Nihlathak’s quest in Hell difficulty only does not have to be completed
3. Returning the Horadric Malus to Charsi and defeating Nihlathak are sufficient for completing those quests in Act I and Act V (it is up to you whether or not you use the imbue and engrave rewards)

3 points for finishing Normal difficulty (making Destroyer)
5 points for finishing Nightmare difficulty (making Conqueror)
7 points for finishing Hell difficulty (making Guardian)

3 points for killing the Cow King on Nightmare difficulty
5 points for killing the Cow King on Hell difficulty

30 points per character finishing Normal (31 points including killing the Cow King)
62 points per character finishing Nightmare (66 points including killing both Cow Kings)
95 points per character finishing Hell (104 points including killing all Cow Kings)

Just to add that I'm stopping now NicesArt for ParisArt. And I will pearhaps stop NicesArt for the tourney. Some monsters are to hard to kill in act IV. after killing the forgeron I start to go to diablo home meet a pack (3) of "sort of spider" that summon little boy like them.impossible to pass, must go back to kill one by one. so I MUST do more damage (I don't speak about
monsters with poison imune , they regenere faster than my arrows'damages).

Anyway ParisArt has now no restriction to run until the death or the guardian's Statut !

so you can note no change, yesterday all about Raminagrobis, the sister of RounArt,
And you know what, I love use the uniques items I found. I found and give a Husoldal Evo to my defensive paly, he love it.
In chaos sanctuary (NM) I make a bad meeting FI-CI-magic resistant and Rami is F_C sorceress , but I was luky, in my chest I have a Spellsteel and the decrepify is beautiful.

And I don't remember having the same problem in 1.09 but iron maiden is used to much for me ! i saved my merc 2 times and he was killed 5 times.

Diablo is killed quickly (very very) and drop good stuff.

Monday is another day but I'm sure I will have news next month !

 

Minor edit to scorecard Psycho: QueenOfSnares is level 24. Otherwise I think the points total and Act progress is correct.

Sorry to hear about your struggle nemar. I don't play zons much so can't offer up any good advice. It would be a shame to stall her out at this point - you're SO close to Guardian.

Not much D2 over the weekend for me, unfortunately, although I did manage to get Sarah past Nihlathak. I just love Ice Arrow & Freezing Arrow. All she needs now is a better bow (such a shame she won't be allowed to use any of the exceptional uniques, as they can add so much to her killing power).

I know the sorce of your problems, but yet I do not know how to help it.
The source is your wasted points in passive skills, you invested too much in there (there are diminishing return on those), next time be more careful with skillpoints, I always leave some in reserve just in case.

You are absulutely right about the new merc. Try to upgrade your bow too.

 

Sorry to hear about MortAdels Nemar! Those gloams are really hateful, especially when they ambush you!

I moved OfWolfAndMan through the Nihlathak portion of Act V (finally). I was killing things quite easily and noticed a lot of magic stuff dropping - before realising I had my MF gear on still! I continued on with the trend and found another couple of items for the prize pool! More goodies!

Character restrictions
1. Choose three characters - all characters must be different
2. All characters are to be Hardcore
3. Living characters must stay within one act of each other
4. Characters must utilise only TWO skill trees, not all three

Item restrictions
1. Items can be bought from ALL acts and difficulties
2. Items used may ONLY be Rare, Magic, Crafted, Normal or Socketed - there are to be NO runewords
3. The only exceptions are Runewords and Unique items that are for prize mules - they are not to be used by tourney characters at all
4. Mule ALL Set and Unique items
5. Skills granted by an item for a skill tree that you do not use cannot be used if that item is equipped (IE: If a Sorc is using Fire and Cold skills only, and picks up a Orb with +1 teleport on it, teleport cannot be used but the item can be used)
6. Charges on the other hand are allowed

Play restrictions
1. All quests MUST be completed (the only exception is Nihlathak’s quest in Hell difficulty)
2. Quests do NOT have to be completed in order, but all Act quests must be completed before moving to the next act
3. Visiting previous difficulties is not allowed unless to socket/imbue items
4. Trading is not allowed between different players in the tourney, but it IS allowed between your own three characters

Special notes
1. Cow King quests must be completed before proceeding to the next difficulty
2. Nihlathak’s quest in Hell difficulty only does not have to be completed
3. Returning the Horadric Malus to Charsi and defeating Nihlathak are sufficient for completing those quests in Act I and Act V (it is up to you whether or not you use the imbue and engrave rewards)

how do you want I upgrade my bow ?
cubing ? it's not a rare and even a rare that is - fal & um, I'm not rich enought ! :lol:
find another more poweful ? :scratch: well I want too, but where ? (don't speack about mephisto run in hell, I do it one time , I don't want to do it another time. It's hot, very hot : an undead boss and his pack at the entry with council just near. Mephisto isn't hard to kill but before....

cow run : impossible, it's closed I think (king killed)

and about passive, i'm not sure. and MA and strafe don't give more damage when bousted (+1 point/level). it's working with the base of the weapon i think and +5% of 41 , that don't make a lot.

Clegane has finally found a worthy weapon and has begun to kill with some speed - not as fast as Arya, but enough to stop making him frustrating to play. As a result, he killed both Nihili and the Ancients in addition to doing some leveling and gold hunting for his incredible gambling habit.

He will soon go after Baal.

good to see people progressing and keeping the tourney alive.
I did my part, but offcourse couldn't post. I was busy playing anyway, so no time was wasted staring at blank pages.
Did loads of work, starting off with Agent_Smith, because Niobe had fopund him a better weapon. It is a beauty, a war hammer with 40% increased speed, extra damage and leach. Also unfortunately also +1 barb skills, but oh well, all the other mods are great (and it is a huge list!)
Taking his new weapon he obliterated everything in Normal, making destroyer in notime at lvl 47. In high spirits Trinity was next (friday i think)
And she went shopping at Anya for half an hour netting her 2 mage killer scissors katar. equipped with +2 assaassin skills she felt up to the challenge and went out as well, finishing Normal after a few hours of hard work. Baal himself was difficult, the minions ridiculously easy (players 8 for extra xp)
So with 3 destroyer, i started out on leveling them a bit to get them ready for the new hardships. First stop: the cow lvl. Agent smith performance was poor, trinity medium (death sentry) Niobe perect (Lightning fury). All tree killed the king for an extra few points.
Back to act V, for some xp runs. I decided on players 8 Baal runs, only Baal himself on players 1. Especially lister and co were good to kill, delivering 300 K exp. each for the minions and even more for lister himself. Again trinity had a hard time killing Baal, while Agent smith had a hard time killing Lister and co. After my trio reached lvl 50 (about 4 runs each) i got bored, and continued into Nightmare. All of them quickly cleard the den of evil for that extra skill point, and Agent smith set out for andariel. He was still killing everyhting in sight, only getting into trouble once when being set upon by two boss bone archers and one boss bone mage. No leach means quickly dropping Life bulb. Some backwards redeploying (a paladin never retreats) solved the problem together with two full rejuvs.
Andariel was easy (Players 1), and he stopped at atma's to have a quick beer and introduce his new might merc to the world. Also Agent_Smith is my keeper of runes, and now in possession of two sheals, a sol and two amn runes. Everything gets cubed, from the smallest el upwards, and so far this is the result. Not very encouraging, but we'll see.

That leaves the total score at:
