Thoughts on this sorc setup?

This is going to be a solo baal/meph runner:
Skills;
20 Blizz
20 CM
20 GS
20 Teleport
Rest into static, synergies, possibly one of the cold armors, wherever I feel the need

Equip;
Shaft w/ Ort
Rockstopper w/ Ort
Ammy w/ Res all (Mara's would be ideal, but for now just any prismatic, possibly with mana, should do)
Wizzy w/ Io I think, maybe an LR jewel depending on how much I can stack with charms
2x Dwarf (12/14)
Tgod's
30% FHR boots w/ some resists
Magefist
Whistan's w/ PD

Charms;
Don't quite recall the 6X% FHR break, but it's what I plan on hitting
As much LR as I can/or until Convic (and maybe LR stacked) leaves me at 85
Rest will be life

Merc;
Gaze
Reapers
That normal unique green armor with CBF (until I find a gladiator's)

Stats;
~90 str (depending if I end up using any str charms)
~150ish dex for block
Vita rest

The idea is to get as close as I can to a build that uses SS without actually having to afford an SS. I think this is about as close as I can get to being an uber telesorc without actually needing uber items, but any thoughts on how I could tweak it would be greatly appreciated.

Oh;
-No, you don't need MF to do MF runs ^^
-I tested in SP, that lvl of blizz seems to kill plenty fast for my liking
-I can't decide if I like Sols in my hat/armor more than Ort, they seem to help on SP but I can't tell if they help ~100 life worth of charm space that I'd need to shove into my inventory.

Why oh why, for the love of all that is good in this game, would you put 20 into teleport?

Because I'm only going to have ~400 mana, ~0 +skills, and enjoy only having to spend 4 mana to port away even after getting mana burnt.

dont quite get it, but i think it is more practical to just buy an ss and be done with it. not like they are uber expensive, or that hard to find. ditto for shako. just slap meff a couple of times, etc (but then again, you were never really the meff type of guy)

also, the obvious question: what to do with the skeletons? what did you come up with your sp tests? is the merk good enough?

The merc is fine for the skels (and birdies/mages). OKs with IM is a bit irritating, but mostly just a bit of extra time and gold.
Shako I wouldn't use regardless, ideally it'd be a 2 sock 30 res CoA w/ 2x -15req/15 res all jools, but rockstopper is the next best thing. FHR and resists r teh secks.
SS might not be that expensive, but it's still a bit out of my price range. When I find one I plan on dropping the shaft for gladiator's bane.

But anyways suggest equipment tweaks that'll make my sork safer while porting, I couldn't think of anything but that doesn't mean there aren't any.

I don't know why you would waste 20 in Teleport. It's not as if mana potions or rejuvs are that hard to get or mana charms. If you want to go solo runs then you should go pure killing power and max blizzard and all masteries. You will need a might merc to kill the cold immunes. You only need one point in static to help your merc on the cold immunes. Only one point in frozen armor for the freezing while teleporting. You didn't say you were going to use eshield so I am gathering you aren't which is good. I don't know why you are bothering about all the lightning resists stuff. Just max it, you have tgods that should be enough. If you don't have eshield then conviction gloams aren't as lethal since they don't drain your mana and you will always be able to just tele away.

As for gear, eh. I don't know if I would chose shaftstop just because I didn't have a stormshield. Remember it only reduces physical damage and really its the elemental attackers that are the constant problem. As a sorc you should really not get hit physically that often since you can always just tele away.

Good luck looking for gladiators bane LOL, I am still looking for it but my merc is quite happy with duriels shell anyway. You are right about the cannot be frozen on merc, it is essential.

<Playing more on the single player char>
Hmm...it does seem to work fine without points in it.
I'm just used to playing with ES it seems.

I know that elemental attacks are the constant problem, hence my 26 MDR from dwarfs. However a bad tele (us people with no mh aren't as spoiled =p) into a cursed pack of frenzytaurs has a much bigger chance of being instant death than anything elemental. I was trying it with a viper for the extra 13 mdr single player and when I did get hit I wasn't liking the results.

Oh, I want *2* of them, one for me as well -.-
