    Those Pesky Little Novelties

Hey guys. Well I dragged myself out of bed this morning at the crack of noon to make sure I was fairly alert for my 2:30 class. So I got up and did a few Meph runs on Hell (takes me about 35 seconds per run with my clvl 82 Meteorb... I have an excellent map). I was lucky enough to find Mithril Coil, Balrog Blade, Wire Fleece, Loricated Mail, and Pavise. So then I muled it all and plugged it into the medieval mart spreadsheet. Looking over the spreadsheet totals, I realized that I'm only missing 5 of the original set items. Aside from Iratha's Cuff, all the items are TC 3. I'm stumped. Where do I go to find those little buggers? Any help would be appreciated.

Heh, I am missing 1, Death's sash. Can't get that thing to drop to save my life.

I think you might want to try some Bishibosh runs. I hear he's da man for TC 3 items.

Seriously, the TC3s might just be some of the hardest items to get...most monsters can drop from so many TCs that TC3 doesn't have a chance.

Hey, that's crazy... Death's Sash just dropped from Meph a minute ago... how weird. And thanks, I will try some Bishibosh runs.

might just want to run around in act 1 normal. Death's sash was the first set dropped in act 1 normal when I started a new char a few days ago.

Hmmm...well, on the off chance that mentioning it here will get it to drop for somebody: Windforce, Grandfather, Tyreal's Might, Iratha's Coil.

Another thing you might want to check is the drop calc in ATMA - it might give you some better ideas.

Why Iratha's Coil? Doesn't everyone and their mother have that. I know my mom does.

I figured it would increase my chances of being right, and thus increase the WF of this thread.

for irathra coil, according to the ATMa drop calc, the cow king in normal has the best chance, but considering you only get 1 stab at it, you might not want to try him.all the high chances are from the big 3 (diablo, meph and baal of varying difficulties)
in normal you can domeph runs extremely quick, and he has quite a good chance.

If you want to find stuff like Short Staff, Scepter, Wand, Leather Gloves...and many more, try norm Coldcrow. She has good chances to drop those

I've found that even better places for those hard-to-find low-TC uniques are the Crypt and the Mausoleum. I just found another cap in one of them, and supposedly it is (or at least was, in 1.09) so rare that my very first trade as a member of the SPF was sending it off for Trang's armor, which may not be the rarest item, but it sure as heck is more useful than Biggin's Bonnet. :)

We need something. Or maybe I need something. I am the anti-WF; I can't find anything. I've played my Fishymancer on the ladder the whole way on /players8 to early Act V, and have found 5 set and 2 uniques at this point.

When I was participating in the 3-way Dance tourney, one of my characters pretty much had that at the end of Act I. So when I have to give them away, I get WF...Maybe that's the trick?

Bone Ash (green skellie in cathedral) and Blood Raven are also pretty good for dropping TC3s. Bishibosh actually can't drop too many of them.

I ran Bone Ash for a while though, and got most of them. It's a quick run from the inner cloister waypoint.

Good luck, and may the WF be with us all.

I say run hell pindle :D. Buster ran him 3,000 times and got 10 or 11 TC 3's, and over half were unique. And those are the rarest items he can drop, thoses little buggers.

The WF is a bit sketchy sometimes. I'll have two days of WF, and then a month without (found Goreriders, and 2xNaglering, and then zippo, well, aside from a unique club). Maybe if we start a WF jig thread?

    :jig: :jig: :flip: :jig:

    go go WF

I found it last night in the Pit, and I thought my best find was a Wisp Projector:scratch: .
