    Those Movie Moments

that hit you hard...you know...deep down, haha.

    1. Dead Poets Society, after the suicide...morning on the snowy lake.

    2. Good Will Hunting, bar scene..."you'll realize 2 things. First...don't do that. And second, you just dropped 150 grand on an education you could've gotten for a dollar fifty at the public library."

    3. Scent of a Woman, student court...Al Pacino talking about the character of men.

    1) Braveheart, When William Wallace (Mel Gibson) is tortured and killed and he cries "Freedom".

2)"Sleepers". The entire movie made me go "uhh..", it was just such a storyline.

3)Armageddon, When the US pilot walks up to the daughter and says "Ma'm, I'd like to shake the hand of the daughter of the bravest man in the entire world"..or something along the lines of that.

    1. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas; Depp takes Del Toro to the airport, and as he's getting on the plane, he says something along the lines of: Too weird to live.. but yet too rare to die. Atleast I think that's what he said.. I need to rent it again.

    2. Platoon; When Defoe blows the smoke down the shotgun barrel, into Sheen's mouth. I dunno, that scene's just cool.

The end of Saving Private Ryan, at the memorial graveyard, when he asks his wife to tell him he's a good man.

    Yah, that one tingles.

Here's one not from a movie - Derek Jacobi as Prospero in Shakespeare's The Tempest, summoning the storm. OMG - D&D come to life. And this was just a stage, not a jazzed up special effects film scene.

    "Groovy"

"Yes they deserved to die! And I hope they burn in hell!!"

    obligatory nerdy moment
"My God Bones, what have I done?"
"What you had to do, what you always do, turn death into a fighting chance to live."

furthermore on the nerd topic, I do love the way the score plays up the death of Obi Wan, and as far as "what have I done?" and Alec Guinness, I have to mention the end of Bridge on the River Kwai as well

    madness...

    "Sir, our shields are dropping!"

    "Raise them!"

    "I can't"

    "The override! Where's the override?!!"

*GASP* It's FRANK not Fred...Sorry but that's one of my favorite movies.

The entire Band of Brothers series gives me goosebumps every time I've watched it (trust me I've watched the whole series A LOT).

Some of my favorite moments in no particular order (mild spoiler alerts):

Episode 3: Carentan- the part where Blithe sees Winters shooting at the Germans in their hedgerow and finds the courage to get up and join him. The slow motion cinematography of that entire scene is amazing. Also from that episode is the part where Easy company is the only one holding the lines while dog and fox fell back and easy is about to get surrounded but Shermans to the rescue!

Episode 7: The Breaking Point- Winters sends in Spears to replace Dike (sp?). Then Spears runs through the German town to hook up with I company and then comes back. Lipton's narrative of the entire episode is perfect.

Episode 9: Why We Fight- the discovery of the concentration camp. If you've seen this you know what I'm talking about.

For anyone who hasn't seen the entire series I strongly recommend you see it if you have any shred of human decency in you.

    Shine:

"Oh sock it to us Liberace!"

Followed by launch into Flight of the Bumblebee

    Gets me every time.

Many of the scenes thoughout Gladiator,
When he saw his son and wife...hanging.
The cheering of the people during his 1st "big" arena battle. And then the following afterwards.
    So many to mention.

    Oh and OMG,

    And ya Braveheart of course.

    Band of Brothers....wow, many.

Theres so many more to mention.
