    Thorns with AD in PvP

Does thorns works with Amplify Damage?
    For example:
Oponent has 6 000 phisical damage.
In PvP this dam cuts 1/6, with DR% - 1/12. So i recive 500 pure phisical damage. I have thorns 20 lvl, that will back him 1010% dam. 1/10 in PvP.
So he will recive ~500 dam, after his 50%DR - ~250. With AD on him: 500. Am i right? Please answer me, i decide to make a fun PvP returner.

Thorns is physical damage and I'm pretty sure it benefits from amp.

Amp reduces DR by 100%, so 50% becomes -50%.

AFAIK thorns is subject to the pvp modifier twice. Once when the enemy attacks and a second time when the damage is returned. So a 6000 damage attack turns into 1000 damage dealt to you, and when it's returned, it's divided by 6 again, making it 166. With L20 thorns it turns into 1676 damage. With 50% DR it will be 838 damage and with -50% it's 1514.

AFAIK thorns is considered BM in duels, but if you just want to be safe from PK, I see no reason not to use it.

    Warning ! I'm a pvp noob !

Thorns = cut by 1/10th in pvp.

Hmm, yes, I vaguely remember something like that.

So the base damage can be considered as 1/60 instead of 1/36, I guess.

Of course, thorns only affects melee attacks. It doesn't return CBs or elemental damage added to melee attacks or anthing special. It returns critical and deadly strikes, however.

As mercs are immune to suicide minions and doll explosions, I wouldn't be surprised if they are immune to thorns as well, but I'm just guessing again here. People like to correct mods, that's my way of getting answers

They weren't immune to Flamespike (why'd they ever take him out?) and they're not immune to other razor spine effects. Oh, and then there's that little thing called Iron Maiden... come on, Krischan!

Well, I never said it is like that, I just said that I wouldn't be surprised if it would. With other words, I don't know, as there are effects to which mercs are immune while they are not immune to those I haven't mentioned :azn:

I think thorns is cut by 1/10 and then by 1/6 * 1/6 making it 1/360th of what it looks like on paper. Amp would of course improve that to 1/120th assuming exactly 50%DR but still... you need to take a LOT of damage and it's not worth it.
