Thinking of coming back...

just thought this would be a good place to ask as i recall this site as being the main resource place
I ve abandoned d2 a couple of years ago as i was fed up with dupes, item generators, bots and blizz not taking care of the game. I started playing wow that was in a way better shape as per bots and dupes but sometimes i still miss the d2 environment and miss the long nights doing diffrent boss runs and being totally thrilled when <<insert item name>> dropped. Plus wow became too easy and also i feel like i should play smtg else from time to time.
So if someone has the time to help with some answers i d really appreciate it
1) Is the situation as bad as it was 2-3 years ago when it comes to dupes and bots?
2) Is the leveling the same (as in lvling till about lvl 20 smtg then baal runs till 40 smtg, boost in NM diff, baal runs till 60 smtg, hell boost, let the fun begin?)
3) when i left the game there were some cookie cutter classes and trees (as in hammerdin ) that given good gear and lvl were able to solo everything . Is this still the case, what are the starter classes now that can offer you a decent kill speed and the ability to kill almost everything? (something like what the blizzard sorceress or hammerdin were when i played)
4) Is there still maphack? (lol)
5) Did they remove the Diablo Clone? that was frustrating as i never found it

Ah and very important, are there still people playing it? i dont want to buy the cd's again (lost old ones) and find myself in an empty multiplayer.
