Being currently... um... between jobs, I really have no set sleep pattern at the moment, which rather sucks. Without work to wear me out, my body seems to believe we have 30 hour days, so I usually end up being awake 22-24 hours straight. Right now I'm at the ugliest part of the cycle, where I can't get to sleep before 10 a.m. Make doing the things I need to do (like look for work) a real pain.
As for sleep quirks, I, too, need something over me, even if it's just a thin sheet, no matter how hot the weather. And possibly because I've gotten used to so often having to sleep during hours when the sun is up, even when I can sleep at night, I find it easier to fall asleep and stay asleep with the light on. (I know that's just opening myself up to flames, but so it goes.)
