The Warden

A while ago I posted an idea for a mid-ranger character, but I never could come up with a lore to put it all together. Finally, I came up with the warden.

This character's gameplay is based on using mid-ranged attacks and weapons such as whips, spears, and throwing items. The main thing is keeping enemies at a moderate distance. Not quite as short ranged as say spears in d2, and shorter range than the bow attacks of the amazon.

Skill Types:
-Inhibition(skills for keeping enemies at bay)
-Wide Range(skills for taking out multiple enemies with his weapons)
-Weapon Specialization(skills for passively improving different weapon types)
-Evasion(skills for moving around)
-Fast Attacks(self explainatory)
-Guard Moves(moves that require the button to be held to reduce and return damage. ex. holding a pike out)
-Recklessness(moves that put you in danger, but yield high damage)

Skill Trees:
-Imprisonment- Skills comprised of Inhibition
-Punishment- Skills comprised of Wide Range, Fast Attacks, and Recklessness
-Protect- Skills comprised of Guard Moves, Evasion

Nice idea , there different builds possible to attack or to defend. Its like a more powerful and violent version of the assassin including tactics from the amazon. Certainly original and agreable to play.
About the spirit of the char the word "punishment" can either suggest a sadist or a justice-type fighter which are two possible good lore, which is it ?

Wow, y'know I never even thought of having sadism put in this character. This is a bit of a puzzle.

I'd think that Punishment could be more of a dominatrix path, and Protect being more justice based, but it really just depends on the skills I think up

I really hope this doesn't take a weird turn now.

Anyways, I thought up a few skills:

Imprisonment- Skills comprised of Inhibition
-Gas Bomb: Throws out a grenade that disperses enemies
-Sting Point: Attack that knocks enemy back
-Bind: Stuns an individual enemy
-Shock Trap: When an enemy steps near trap, they will trigger an electric shock, harming and stunning nearby enemies
-Blind: Uses your equipped throwing weapon to cause damage and blind your enemy, lowering defense and causing him to attack his surroundings randomly


Punishment- Skills comprised of Wide Range, Fast Attacks, and Recklessness
-Whip Whirlwind(Held): Swings your whip around your head dealing damage to surrounding enemies.
-Poison Tips: Adds Poison damage to your attacks
-Rend Flesh(Held): Pick an enemy out and do continuous linear damage to him
-Spear Swipe: Performs slashing motion to do damage to multiple enemies(about 45deg wide)
-Lightning Jab: Lightning quick jab at an enemy
-Suffering: Enchants an enemy so that his damage done to you will be reflected back
-Multi-Throw: Semi-Long Range attack throwing 2 or more of your equipped throwing weapon
-Charge: Runs up close to an enemy and does massive damage
-Poison Bomb: Tosses a bomb that will do poison damage to enemies in an area

Protect- Skills comprised of Guard Moves, Evasion
-Riot Gear: Passive boost to defense
-Pike Stance(Held): Holds out your equipped spear in a set direction. If the enemy comes in contact with the point then it does massive damage.
-Retreat: Increases movement speed while in use
-Spear Swirl: Spins your spear infront of you, knocking enemies back
-Dodge: Increases change to dodge an attack
-Fade: For a moment, you go transparent and move through enemies
