Poison Resist +8%Otherwise, pretty decent haul, was glad to see my second BK ring and some tc84 grailers like Messer's, Mav's Armor and Steel Carapace. Those two all res jewels look nice as well, probably gonna put them to some twink gear that I use on my other characters during Normal. I was also quite pleased to see all the facets, especially the 5/5 Lightning one now that I am planning and levelling a Javazon. Also got a decent ED/IAS jewel there, not sure where I'm going to use it, unless I somehow manage to find eth Tomb Reaver and a Zod, then again I think that might be too low ED for such a beast. We'll see what happens with that one
Runes! After that 3rd Ber, yikes what a drought! Literally not a single Lem+ rune in few days. Then again, I was not complaining with all the Bers and Los dropping. But you know how on Boxing Day, there are these Boxing Day sales and other events? D2 gods rewarded my loyalty with this nice 2-4-1 promo:
Hands down, possibly my favorite screenshot so far since restarting few months ago. And most importantly, that Sacred Targe was only [email protected] so I tossed it back on the ground.
There are some plans for organising RFO or Zodthon (or both) and I noticed @T72on1 mentioned in other thread that Neverland also runs Travincal when CS is too boring. Well, I decided to give it a go, I thought I'd try 10 runs on p3 and see if it's feasible for Aura to run there for RFO instead of using my Blizzsorc. It was surprisingly fast and safe, Merc died once because of Conviction. I hope I didn't spend too much of my luck on run #7:
And that's all she wrote! No other rune goodies yet, but again, I am not complaining. Still, somehow I find myself a bit disappointed since I have not found a Jah rune yet. Not that I really need it for anything, but previous CS running Hammerdin 99ers seemed to have found a truckload of Jahs (by truckload I mean more than one), so I'd really like one. But again, I'm quite happy with what I've got so far.
I think I promised some numbers on how different running tactics give me XP. I only tested two scenarios, p8 Vizier+Infector and p7 Seals + Diablo.
p8 Vizier+Infector, 82k/min.
I was expecting a bit more to be honest, but I did my 2 hour test session between p7 Diablo runs, so I did things I usually do when doing Diablo runs like open the second seal etc. Still, not a bad rate at all, but I think I could improve on this. My current map is quite crowded at seals, so sometimes runs are a bit slow since I need to clear the seal. But it works well for Diablo runs.
p7 Seals+Diablo, 84k/min.
Wasn't expecting that to be honest! So 6k/min increase from my previous testing and I think the biggest reason for the increase was learning how to deal with Lord de Seis better. Still occasionally, that pack is quite frustrating since, as I mentioned, my current map is quite crowded around seals, so sometimes where de Seis gang spawns, there's couple of other OK boss packs as well, so I need to kill them all quite cautiously instead of just waiting for my chance to stomp Lord himself alone. But this is definitely the run I enjoy most, it's quite relaxing, ends with a boss kill, love it.
While I am at it, I am now ruling out Nihlathak for the last level. Yesterday, I spent about half an hour trying to figure out the best way to deal with him but it was just quite slow, dangerous and not rewarding in terms of drops. Obviously I was not optimised with gear/Merc anything for it, so that counts as well, but considering how fast (at least in my opinion) I've become with Diablo running, I'm only considering that as my method for the last level.

@Kitteh and everyone else, I have a question. Are we allowed to "lend" our items to other characters? What I mean is, could I theoretically lend Aura's Enigma to another character (Javazon in this case) for a while and then return it to Aura to be used again while keeping untwinked status? I haven't done so of course yet (and won't if it's against the rules), just wanted to double check. Of course the item itself would never be altered in any way, just used by another character. I am not ready yet to make a second Enigma, that's why I am asking. Thanks!

I would suggest not. You can give it to that character, but I would suggest that it has to keep it. Mostly because it saves confusion and keeps everything strict. Items off, but not items on. That makes a lot of sense, not to confuse items between characters. Although, it's not like I can mix up my only EnigmaI would suggest not. You can give it to that character, but I would suggest that it has to keep it. Mostly because it saves confusion and keeps everything strict. Items off, but not items on. However... I'm open to public opinion, if you guys collectively think otherwise, then we can allow it
But I see your point, would make it a hassle if people started to share tons of items found with their runner and then trying to return them. I'll stay away from sharing my Enigma for now and I'll see if I can come up with another solution for my Javazon.That was @zticazzy right? I'm too afraid of dying again since last two deaths, hence I'm taking it a bit slower and don't push it beyond my current rate.
O yes, about drops. Iirc, you have about the same amount of mf as I do, around 160%. I don't think you can expect more than what you have found with that amount of mf and doing mostly seals only. I know I have gotten far less, but that's mainly because you include Diablo at times, I reckon.
As for runes ... I'd be happy to score as many HRs as you in CS to be honest, and more importantly, to start finding Surs and Bers instead of yet another Ohm (which happened yesterday, although it was at Travincal). Next goals in terms of runewords are Enigma and dual Dreams, so Ohms aren't going to get me even close to that.
But that should be enough complaining to get some runes to drop soon. So I'm going to stop here. Like I said, good luck on the final stretch to 98.

I was actually dead serious then. And I still am, as I am at the moment running at an unsustainable rate. Holiday week, don't have much else going on than D2, films, board games etc. so I can grind quite a bit more than usually. So once January comes in, I'll be back to my ~1hr/week day, ~5hr/weekend schedule, so I'm not going to make fast progress then. That's why I am running like crazy now and I still kinda dream of reaching that 98 before 2017 as I planned at the start of December.I sincerely hope you weren't serious when posting that
@Kitteh, you decided to go old school with L_E's Big Hurty Stick. I remember that one, but I think zticazzy made one as well with Perkele, if you want a more recent example

Please note that while mine is untwinked and meant for a WW summonbarb, L_E's one was for druids, so he had to trade for a Zod and two 40/15 jools to go with its perfect %ed.

Nice job @Neksja! Getting close to 98. Mercy will try to keep within 3/4 of a level for the next little bit
Small update for Hiatus: as mentioned in an earlier post, she had returned to LK to try to find an Ist or Mal to allow her to complete CoH. My goal was 100 runes found and maybe some charm upgrades. She had just a few pixels of XP on the bar, so I wasn't worried too much about deaths, which was good because she died about 10 runes in.
The highest rune was a Lem, with Lum the next highest. She also found some decent charms for other characters (9% LR w FHR, steel SC with 7% MF, which she actually is using for the MF, plain Traps skiller), but no major upgrades.
Returned to AT and CS for a bit, but the runs were just too hectic to be sustainable for stretches. Her life was barely over 1200 prior to BO (~1750 with BO), with charms needed to keep key resists maxed rather than being able to focus on +life. She found a Unique Troll Nest in AT (her second) but nothing else of note.
So I eventually bit the bullet and returned to LK, determined to run until an Ist or Mal dropped. She had gained some XP, so I rerolled maps to find one with only 1 blind teleport into a hut and took a more careful approach. The fifth rune found (from a corpse) was a Mal and she finished a set of 25 with a Fal the next highest rune.
The Mal allowed her to cube up the Ist and with the two stashed Surs, a Ber. She dusted off a superior Scarab Husk (higher defense than the best Archon Plate she had, and I like the look of the leather armor with Shako -- though she may regret it if she finds Nightwing's because it won't match).
And she had CoH (thought I'd taken a screenie when she made it, but apparently not, so just took one). Major difference -- the extra +skill is noticeable and mainly the resists allowed charm reshuffle to add vita SCs. Life with BO active is now above 2000 and she's much more durable. The new CS map also has 1-2 fewer boss pack on average near Vizier but a stable boss pack in the big room prior to Infector's seal. It lowers the possible XP a little but makes the runs safer and quicker. She made solid progress and is ~1/5 way to 96.
I'm going to focus on Mercy and hope to get her to 97.25 to stay "close" to @Neksja and @T72on1, but look forward to returning to Hiatus soon in the hopes of getting her to 96.
