The Ultimate Dream Come To Life Now I know there is an items find thread, but this is too good. Ah yes the dream realized. Every person at one point and time has a dream. One of my many dreams came true this evening in the Throne of Destruction. Me, NSX, Sed, and a few others were MPing, mulling through Baal runs at a cool /players 5(I think) and we were clearing out before the minions. Suddenly an Oblivion Knight goes down, lo and behold, what happens? Well, let me give you a little backstory. I first got this game waaaay back when it first came out. Me and a buddy were going nuts, we had played the demo, we couldn't wait for it, the very day it was out in stores, so were we. We got copies and immediately started playing in single players. Little known to us, we played on Open Battle.net, and even back in the early days, there were hacking and duping techniques, eventually we found ourselves with amazing gear! But we didn't feel right. Shift to a year later, US West, me and my buddy are at it again, v1.05 classic. We're playing, and we hear of the new patch, 1.06, we shrug and figure it's all like the rest, fixes a few things, maybe powers down the amazons immolation arrow(AGAIN). Little did we know it added so much more. 1.06 was one of our favorite patches, we played that for the longest time until... Lord of Destruction. Now don't get me wrong. I enjoyed Diablo II, but I couldn't get myself to buy the expansion at first. By the time I got around to it, my friend had already greatly surpassed me in levels, and we kind of drifted as playing partners for a while. Version 1.08 was very ho-hum for me, I didn't like it that much. Come along v1.09. Me and my buddy decided to switch over to US East, the economy on west had become strange to us, and we figured it would be better there. We both began a life of extravagant play, both of us delving into masses of riches, high level characters, and amazing PvP experiences. Even public games where people used Ith and whatnot couldn't touch us. We were the best. Then it happened. New games. My friend split off, playing newer and newer games as they came out, able to upgrade his computer at a whim. I, being a poor young kid, was unable to upgrade and play newer games at my leisure. I could handle diablo 2, and not much more. So I plowed on. After years of playing 1.09, I finally found it, the Single PLayer Forum. While I found myself coming in at a very bad time, I came in and was still warmly welcomed by all of the members. I didn't get into it very much until I discovered the amazing people. Greybeard, Icebird, Darkness, VvV, Votan, and many others, I remember all of them answering some questions and some even giving me a few starter items. Over the years, things changed, people left, people came back, some were banned due to the GAW* and some were banned due to just going a step too far and getting on a moderators last nerve. But somehow I still remained. All through the years, even through until the 1.10 patch. Even after my computer got formatted by a stupid computer tech guy, and I swore off of Diablo 2 forever, here I am. And here it is. Ladies and gentlemen... I present to you... Zod Rune Can be Inserted into Socketed Items Weapons: Indestructible Helms: Indestructible Armor: Indestructible Shields: Indestructible Required Level: 69 Item Version: 1.10 Expansion Now what am I going to do with it, you ask? Well I'm not quite sure. It could be in my stash for years until I find something I would love to do with it. But as for now... I'm just going to bask in the glory. One of the best things I've seen yet. I've already made backups and I'm going to do my best to find the ultimate use for this wonderful thing.
