The Summoner Druid

The Summoner Druid

Hi all! I'm currently working on a summoner druid, and fully plan on making a guide if he turns out any good, if any of you allready have one or wanna start one with me please do! Also we could maybe co-op the guide, but thats up to you of course. If you have any input on me making this, if i should or not, please tell me, and if you have any thinkings about gear...please tell me!! =P, i'm guessing its gonna be real easy to get 10 gc's plus 1 to summonings that will be cool, but please tell me what you think, give me any input about this subject please.

Actually we need one of these, a lot of people have been asking questions lately.

I'm currently making 6 other characters, but I'm sure someone else would be willing to help.

Welcome to the Druid Forum!!! :D :D :D

Yeah, a Summoner guide would be awesome. Lots of questions on this lately. If youneed any basic information, gear recommendations, or strategies, ask some specific questions and we'll all help as best we can. Good luck on playing the build, getting gear and all that, and I hope the guide turns out awesome!!

I am currently working on a summoner druid, with the intention of tanking for a highlevel sorc on hell baal runs. I am already lvl 50, and am insanely powerful. Do you want me to make a guide if it turns out good later in the game?

Thanks, Forcewarrior89 (Mountain_Manz)

Sure, make a guide if you like, or just tell about your experiences etc. A guide is pretty in depth, you may just want to tell about your build and gear and experiences with the build....

I would like to hear about it though... :)

I just started a summoning druid yesterday. I wanted to try something that was different and fun. Rite now I'm only lvl 42 and in nm but I wouldn't mind telling you about my experiences after I play around for a lil bit longer :uhhuh:

If neither of them do it I'll get to taking one (or more depending on how bad i screw up) though hell (solo as much as possible) and write a guide

after I do the Sing Barb guide

Mine will start with something like

20 HotW
20 Bear
5 Raven
10-20 Dire
10 Spirit (last)
1 Cyclone Armor (with a prebuff switch)
and then as much Poison Creeper as I can

(or I might go with a small amount of Wolf and use Rabies//Carrion Ring)

see i was thinking HotW too, but then i figured why get that, when you can just get a might merc and have oak, there for getting the best of both worlds, but i dunno know too much about how their damages compare , so please tell me

Since you can re-cast your minions at will wouldn't it be better to raise their dammage instead of their life?

sawse said it

there should be no area that you would have to re-cast your minions so fast that OS would be needed and chances are in a Case like that it wouldn't help much

and since you have a lot of +summon your OS could still be 15+

Kinda funny, but I just started a druid up about a hour ago with the intention of trying out a build alot like this. The main difference is that I plan on maxing Raven and Poison Creeper instead of buffing the Grizzly up to much with synergies. I haven't sat down and figured up pre-requisites though yet so I might have plenty of points to still get him to a reasonable level.

My aim is more of a party player than a character able to solo in hell though so I'm probably going to give away some killing power to get there.

im going to make a build like this only im maxing:
HoW
Grizzly
dire wolves
spirt wolves
1 Carrion vine
1 werebear(maybe for life purposes)
gonna go massive Vit and some nice Str
i think it won't be the new summon build but with some + skills you're looking at some nice damage!

HotW and a Might merc are very recommended...
I'm starting a new summoner from scratch, I deleted my old one.

Maybe not a guide but, for the moment, what spells do you use?

I'm working on one as we speak. HotW, DW and Bear. Any idea whether werebear or werewolf is the better way to go? I haven't put points in either yet. I'm thinking stat points are going to be tight.

Couldn't a Shock-Bear be just as viable in PvM as well as PvP...
Also, the main problem with summons, is that the act bosses chew them up and spit them out... I learned that the hard way back in .09

Could someone post a gear selection for a summoner (hunter)?

I have a good idea of what I will be using on my hunter but I want someone to post what they would put in all slots so I can fill in my gaps.
