The Stay Alive Sorc Baal runs question! (Ladder)

Hey all, well I finally hit 95 (ladder), and entering in some baal runs to make it up to 96. So far things have gone really bad. You get around 375K per game now which means if you die and lose around 20million, that is roughly 55 runs lol... I have died now 4 times.

The reasons for death are one-shotted from burning souls or stunned-killed by stygian undead dolls (i think that is what they are). So, I really want to build this sorc just for safety alone from mostly those two mobs during the minion stage.

I am currently using tals armor, ammy, belt, a couple nagel rings (yea no good for this, treks boots, Ondals staff for the 5% EXP (thinking I might need to change that now), frosties, anni, storch, etc...

1. Shall I go full tals to get better resists and give up the ondals 5% exp boost?>

2. Should I try something bizzare like going Vamp Gaze, Shaftstop, Monarch, Tgods, etc. for some really strong, melee, resist gear?

Please help here, I cannot afford to die and lose my body and play 50 more games just to get that exp back lol. Such a waste of time... Please post a really strong build to stay alive with or without ondals staff to escape death from Burning Souls, and undead stygian freaks....

Thx Beeds

You can get a Harmony Bow on switch, it gives you 25 charges of lvl 20 revive, so you can summon up to 20 friends to help you, it is a very simple and cheap solution, the down part of it that is probably very expansive to repair, but you can do a lot of countess runs to get some Orts to help the repair. I think that arround 5 summons each run will be enough, so each repair will help you for 5 runs.
Bonewave gives charges of lvl 33 bonewall, that is a good option too.

you can get a upd vipermagi with a Um, shako, Hoto, Spirit, Trangs/Magefist, Maras, Some fcr rings with with some nice mods, that would give you max resists and 105 FCR BP for a safer teleport. And aways be prepared for esc exit from game.

(i am not a very experient player, i just thoght i could help)

That Thunderbelt fixed souls problem, for extra safe add absorb ring.

For dolls, nature piece is easy fix, once doll is dead, thore revive moster can rise it up again, and when you see dolls, just use oak sage charges from ring, that gives extra 500 life for a moment. Those are very cheap to repair, so no worry if oak sage dies 5-6 times in a run.

And agaist dolls, keep fire resist in max too, for extra safe use boots to rise max fire resist.
Waterwalk +5 fire resist + life
Infernostride +10 fire resist
Hotspur +15 fire resist

Use perfect anni for exp boost, forget that staff

Thx for comments, a couple things to add. I am not teleporting to baal, I am joining games in which someone else does that ugly work hehe, then makes a tp, then I go in, and occassionaly there might be dolls there, so I don't really need badly any teleport or these summon items.... I was curious about what those dolls or burning souls actually hit with and how to avoid that very first hit or two..

DH which absorb ring are you referring to? I am guessing those souls are lightning?

So far sounds like tgods belt is good against the souls?
and Nature peace ring good for added life? I am hoping this can be cast in town just before entering the TP?

What about items such as shaftstop, vamp gaze, stormshield. Remember, this is just a ladder grinding sorc for the moment.....

Thx again

If you don't have max resists, get them. A Wisp ring will have Light Absorb on it. Gloams shoot in straight lines. Move.

Dolls you just have to stay away from.

Try and get at least 63% fcr and preferably 105/117 (depending if you are a light sorc). I run with 30 FHR normally and 86 on switch for teleporting.

ok cool wisp ring added to list. Do dolls hit with just physical or other damage?
Yea max resists is a must. The only problem is whether or not to use this stupid ondals which adds the 5% exp - that is something and at level 95+ you get very little exp running baal runs, so thought I should try to build around that staff... But also realizing that this staff cuts off so much of my resists without an orb + shield hehe.

Wisp ring I mean, didn't want to check name. Dolls damage is half fire, half physical. So be extra careful when you are amplify cursed or if doll has conviction aura. So dwarf star ring helps too against dolls.

As other players does tele job, then just delay entering a bit, you can check from other players health-bars if its safe to enter. And tele right away when you enter tp, souls can hit when you tele. And dolls only kill when they explode, so its safe to tele while they are near.

That oak sage dies right away when souls are near, but agaist dolls it helps a bit. And you can cast it in town. That damage reduced by 7-11 helps a little too.

But maybe safest setup is that thunder belt+2x dwarf star rings.

Thx again, got my stormshield on and tgods on now, seems a bit better, working on building up my resists, esp on fire now... Debating over the wisp, dwarf star and nature's peace hehe..

You can get a Harmony Bow on switch, it gives you 25 charges of lvl 20 revive, so you can summon up to 20 friends to help you.
As soon as you switch back to your main weapon, the revives disappear though. So unless you're willing to keep the Harmony equipped as your primary weapon, the revives are useless. And I've found a shield/orb combo safer than the bow.

Yes, I am sticking with an orb/shield and using stormshield. Any last thoughts on rings, boots, helm, armor, etc..

Currently, tals orb, vipermagi, treks, tals helm. Many thx for all the help so far...
