    The running Necro

I've got full trang (finally as a gift from my friend). If I remember the stats correctly, the trang armor gives 40% faster run/walk and the boots give 20% faster run/walk. My charms give 23% faster run/walk. So the total is 83% faster run/walk.

Does someone know any formulas to calculate this bonus? Or there's no forumula and it's just straightforward. I really don't see my Necro runs 83% faster.

My summoner necro has sick speed (he's a summoner).

    40% from trangs armour
20% from M'avina's Belt (Belt for a necro summoner isn't too big a deal as far as I can see)
    40% from Aldurs Boots
    +r/w speed from charms

    makes him SO fast.

When I run with a hammerdin who uses max vigor to move, it's so cool.

your summoning necro is a summoner? O_______O

Yes, there is a diminishing returns formula for the run/walk speed of characters, tho I don't have a link to it right now (ask in the statistics forum, I'm sure someone there has the link).

Also, skill-based frw gives you a greater boost than non-skill frw because the skills add to your BASE speed in the formula, while the item/charm speed is added in later.

Ok, i konw that was a sucky explanation, and I really do wish I had the link w/ the formula so I could show you what I mean :-/

I think that trang's vamp form is so bugged that may be why you don't see an increase in speed. Vamp has animation issues that make run or walk appear to be the same speed (still decently fast)....

I've got about 75% FRW on just other gear (mostly mf) I can run fairly fast enough to get myself in trouble.... Run into a fanat boss pack on a laggy game sometime... that'll teach you to walk instead.

Don't forget that the armour type has penalties to your run walk. Trangs armour is heavy IIRC, so even with the extra run walk, you won't run much faster than a Stealth runeword Studded leather armour.

Trang Oul Set has a bug which makes you have the same run/walk speed, or should I say 'glide' speed.

Good thing is you are already gliding fast, and you will not have the running penalty where defense=0, shield block down to 30% :)

The problem is just that vampires have no block animation and thus can't block.

I will never use full Trangs myself, except perhaps for a bit of giggles.

Vampires seem to use the FHR animation to block. I'll do some testing on it when and if I'll assemble all the pieces.

    You call that a vampire...more like a r*tart*d ghoul.

Goes back to watch buffy to find a cooler vampire look.

Do that man, I always thought they just have 0% chance to block.
