The Return of a Concept: Magnificent Mondaily

Someone posted in someone's return thread, asking what happened to the Dailies. I had honestly not noticed, as I never posted in one of those; I did read them on occasion, and thought they were an amusing (and endearing) part of this forum. For those that didn't click the link and read that thread, Dailies were threads posted every day, with a little blurb on the person's RL (real life), D2 (this game we all play) and OVG (other video games) expectations or hopes for that day. The thread title usually contained an alliterative pun of sorts. So, fully recognizing that this concept might not be resurrected from the dead, perhaps we can at least zombie-fy it, getting it up and moving around a little bit here and there (necro the concept, in our forum parlance), without further ado or fanfare, the moment you've all been waiting for, ladies and gentlemen, please direct your attention, to the center stage, for the triumphant return, of:

The Daily Thread! (maybe I should have been modest and made it weekly? also, it's pretty late in the day to start a Daily, so go ahead and post tomorrow. I pretty much have the same plans for tomorrow, anyway. Terrific Tuesdaily!)

RL: Resurrecting the dailies! Okay, besides the obvious, hoping to figure out where I'm working this spring/summer. I work seasonally, and my job in S. Florida is over in 4 weeks. Had several interviews and a couple offers, but hoping for a particular offer.

D2: After finding an SOJ yesterday, I can't decide to keep magic finding or quest with my sept. So probably one of those, unless...

OVG: I am also addicted to SimCity4 at the moment. Unsure which I will make the time for tonight.

Hopefully it'll encourage some more activity. Though given the current level of activity, I suspect you might be right about weekly. :)

RL: Not much. Got some chores round the house done, and caught up some on the podcasts I follow.

D2: Racking in 1.07. Grabbed a Gavel of Pain out of whimsy, and now I'm working towards a shaftstop for my merc. Finding stable racks seems to be the most frustrating/boring part to me, while the more repetitive portion of racking is much improved my something going on in the background (ie movies, tv, podcasts, etc..)

OVG: Nothing atm. Though I'm eyeing the new PoE 4 month leagues, and I've had my first playthrough of Mass Effect on pause for months. ONe of these days I'll finish the series.

RL: I started my cutting phase this week, and I hate it. I need food damn it!

D2: Hit 300 runs on my new 5k AT attempt

OVG: Lol.

RL: A couple more days of my holiday, but went to a poker game. Also walked a dog, but as holidays go, generally just relax.

D2: Nope. Maybe I'll MP with Gold's sorc when I get home (and a better internet connection,) but not while I'm away.

OVG: A little Enemy Territory, since I had a little time left when getting ready for poker. I'd agree with yesterday's daily post from CorruptedMollusk that it is one of the top games. And even better, it's free as he said.

RL: Back in Cleveland working as a accounting assistant (for the experience to take the CPA exam) Drove 1680 miles in two days (did some sightseeing)

D2: Meh....

OVG: Not really. Unless studying FAR counts as other games

RL: Not much other than work, occasional socializing, and watching movies.

D2: Other than last night, I haven't played D2 in at least a month. I decided to fire up some of my characters and just run around with them, change their items around and whatnot. I'd like to get back into it (the recent Faith thread has breathed new life into the rune search), so maybe I'll start some Lower Kurast runs soon.

OVG: Chess and Typeracer, whichever catches my attention at the moment. I'm 2-0 in the office at chess. Maybe I can retire undefeated...

Bravo for the dailies!!

RL: Only two more work sessions left in my week. Off to Cancun for a long weekend of beach and drinks in a few days. I'm pretty much done with this winter thing for the year at this point. Its below freezing again here tonight. On a lighter note, although i suppose point of view might play into this, one of my kittens has figured out how to open the medicine cabinet in the bathroom and dumped a bottle of my girlfriend's face wash which then emptied into the sink. I don't really know, but my basic knowledge of these magic potions is it probably costs more than my annual spending on bars of soap and shampoo. D'oh. So when I get back from vacation I'm going to have to figure out how to kitten proof a few drawers and cabinets.

D2: Finally found an item I've lusted after for a while now to make one of my favorite builds, so I'm putting a few other things on hold to get her started. Also, I'm either a Sur and a Ber from making a Last Wish, which seems cool, but not sure what the hell I'd do with it other than off hand in a Werebarb or a Kicker. Or a barb merc:crazyeyes:

OVG: So after some research, it appears I can't play ET on Mavericks. I hope some Mac guy out there is working on a fix, but Apple is slowly nerfing our ability to use a bunch of s/w, and I can't blame the guys who are doing the coding for free for not catching up very fast.

Have a great day SPF.

:( Get a laptop/windows, and challenge solved. ^.^ I don't think anyone would be working on a fix for ET, or working very hard at it. Sorry to hear there's no fix available.
