The Passion of the Meleemancer?

I was wondering, before I start a new meleemancer (My last one got poped by a NM FE) is a passion a 'good' weapon? I know it over writes curses but other than that is it ok? If not I have to use random other items as I am poor and like to play untwink

It has Zeal, that sounds like a lot of fun. But it also has 25% chance to make a monster flee. So if you have +2 to all skills, it will mean that you will make a monster flee with every zeal. That is very annoying. It also overwrites your curses. Another thing a Meleemancer can't use.

You can use the Berserk effectively against IM and PI's though.

IMO Passion is not that good a weapon. There are far better weapons out there.

Depending on how many hands you use and available equipment you could take a look at IK Maul, Crescent Moon, Honor, Crainte Vomir and things like that. I don't trade often so I do not have a clue what the things cost.

ik maul isnt worth much (on nl) crescent moon is worth alot dunno about others tho
