The History of SPF website

Hi all,

You most probably don't know me. I used to (mostly in lurk mode) frequent this forum as atreides a while back (changed the nickname as I forgot the password to the old account and my email address provider that I used for registration is gone - that can really happen if you have a really old email provider). How does one forgets his own password, you ask? Well, you know those moments when you think of a really cool new password no one will ever guess, and it doesn't resemble in any way any other password you use? Well those passwords are also unlikely to be remembered at the rate with which it has been used.

Anyway, I was browsing the forums for what I've missed and I saw the site nepata set up back in 2011, with the history of the SPF forum. The first thing I noticed is a warning on top of it, that it might be closed for inactivity. It either needs the owner to log in to his account, or to get at least 10 visitors a month.

It's good to be back, but I'm sorry a lot of good people left. Posts like this break my heart. It's normal that people change priorities in life and don't care about silly games no more, but SPF it's about more than just a game. If you had a good time at SPF it means that you have friends here. Don't leave them behind, return from time to time to say hello.

Poops was last active in January 2014, but it seems he hasn't posted since 2010. That probably means that he' alive and he has his reasons for becoming inactive.

I lost my BobCox account the same way.
Welcome back
Not exactly, but either way, it was your fault :p.

Not necessarily, but I hope you are right. I think that, as this *is* a community, people leaving inevitably makes holes. I skimmed the posts from the last few years and I saw many users feeling sad for missing others, only to leave themselves and sadden others. It doesn't seem right to me... I think Durf must be blamed :)
