Fishy wins in PvP
I was loitering around on bnet few days back, looking for some trades or nice friendly people to talk to. Someone needed help with rescuing Cain in hell (a level 65 hammerdin who kept dying - had decent gear though). As I was giving finishing touches to the rescue party at Tristram, an amazon joined the game. I was a level 66 Fishy, Hammerdin was 65,and the Javazon was 59. After rescuing Cain, we return to town to talk to him (and save money by free identification service of Deckard Cain the Elder).
And within a few seconds, I hear the "horn" sound and there is a dreaded red crossbones icon in the top right corner.
The Amazon had hostiled me.
At first I didn't like it, because I know Fishymancers are not meant to be used PvP, because the summons damage is cut by 1/2 in PvP. However my big concern was losing the massive gold I was storing for gambling. Usually I leave the game when someone hostiles me, but this time I thought of giving it a try.
So we meet in blood moor. She is running very fast, dunno what gear is she wearing. She starts firing her lightning spears (or whatever it is called) at my big army of skeletons (I think I had 9skeletons and 9 mages). But my skellies move extremely fast - the skeletons surrounded her, and the mages froze her. She was cramped, not able to move. She tried fighting, focusing on one skeleton to break the ring and get out, but died in the attempt.
My health stood at 100% during this duel.
I think I got lucky - she wasn't wearing Enigma otherwise she would have killed me. However the sheer number of skeletons around her cramped her for room, and she died because of that.
So I had my first (and perhaps the last) duel victory. I don't intend to duel anyone, but will occasionally give it a try if someone hostiles me, and I'm not carrying a lot of gold. :smiley:
PS: I sold the ear to Charsi to add one more gold coin to my gambling resources! :cloud9:
