While I'll admit this guy is a moron who has little-to-no-knowlege of geology, tectonics, palentology, grammar, spelling, and so on, his theory, in and of itself, does not seem that far fetched.

ok, his theory isnt that horrible, its just the way he explains it that needs some help

    1. thermal expansion could have made up some of the extra matter in the center of the earth, and chemicals changing forms could have made up some more

    2. the equator is slightly closer to the sun than the rest of the earth and the earths rotations cause the earth to be more squished due to centrifigual forces. the earth elliptical orbit has variations that are larger than the earths diameter, but the equator is hotter because of the angle that the suns rays hit, going through less atmosphere perpendicular to the surface of the earth
near the poles the suns rays have to go through alot more atmosphere to hit the surface
(another anaology is on average x watts of power is emmitted for every .001º of the sun, tward yº on earth at the equator, as you travel farther from the equator it takes larger sections of the earth to get x watts of power)

    3. we download the videos to watch them

from the looks of him? he's been married. AND I bet his wife left him. He just doesnt know it yet cause he's too busy inflating that silly balloon over and over again . what would be funny is if he had a friend who had a pin. he could puncture the balloon and then sing its a small world after all (ok ok ok this was a lamejoke  )

His "scientific explanations" are written in some variation of AOL-ese that I am not fluent in, but I'm pretty sure this proves that creationism is correct and that Jesus Christ is the one true lord. Or something.

Gorny was talking about Usufruct, who until today stopped posting here before you registered, and is, in fact, recently married. In fact, I was an usher at the wedding. In fact. In fact.

Why does he take soooo long blowing it up? Or is he trying to show us Earth expanding over and over?

The sad thing is that EET is actually gaining ground among some people that should know better.

Anyway it turns out these results are totally reproducible on another planet:

So basically that seals the deal. Prepare for shrinkage!

    OMG teh Earth asploded!

He also claims that this explains the pyramids; it just isn't a proper fruitcake theory unless it explains the pyramids.

Unless you think a ball of iron that's 13,000km in diameter would have a hard time contracting or expanding.

    Ask and ye shall receive:

I don't remember dragons... well, except metaphorical ones in Revelations, but that's set in the future.

Yeah, why do they never do that? Oh, I guess because they're crazy.

    LOOOOOL...

He-Durf and the Masters of the Internets FTW.

Which planet is this? I didn't know astronomers had discovered any other Earth-sized planets recently. Since Fe has a thermal coefficient expansion value of about 1.2 X 10^-5 /K, I certainly think this mystery ball of yours can expand and contract. Though certainly not to the degree the nutjob was claiming.

While we're on the topic of Earth, is there a theoretical size limit to an Earth-like planet?

You're right, I meant it'd have a hard time expanding and contracting without any significant change in the input of energy.

If it gets big enough, won't the core eventually turn into a fusion reactor and *boom*, star? I imagine so anyway.
