    The dupes have arrived

I've been watching some d2 item shops to see how long it took them find and dupe a decent rune and they have.

Now there's some good news and bad news to this little story. Obviously the bad news is they now have at least 5 of all the HRs. the good news? they're are charging between £25 and £30 each HR, I'm HOPING that this will put off most people from buying for at least a few more weeks, so we can all enjoy the new ladder before everyone has enigma, last wish etc again.

    I might just have a chance yet.:party::balloons:

Thought as much. Is the frequent drop out c/i's now officially related to the use of maphack btw?

    Thanks for the warning :)

Terrible news though, this totally ruins new ladder economics. :\

    Re: The dupes have arrived

I figured that the frequent dropping was due to lag-spiking dupe methods. Aggravating to say the least.

Chances are they actually steal it rather than ask for it. Well, it was fun while it lasted.

    Re: The dupes have arrived

If guys like that got reported and banned, Bnet would be a lot cleaner

I'll stick to SP and the SPF

$250 is insane, I've heard you can buy a house with that in America now

I'd laugh at whoever spends $250 only to get banned for it.

it's not just kids. i've met a few adults in d2 who happily slap down a credit card for pixels.

    Re: The dupes have arrived

If a rune is legit, then it is permanent. It would be an oxymoron to say that an item is legit and permed.

    Re: The dupes have arrived

I heard b.net is always banning for people having good items.

If you have the money, why not? Get the good items a couple days before everyone else that has to wait for the price to drop.

    Re: The dupes have arrived

It's a little hard for me to imagine ever being in a financial situation where I can drop a few hundred dollars on in game items that I could just as easily get if I waited a month or two. I can't imagine having that much money and then spending my time playing D2. Seriously, when I get to a point where I can drop $250 just like that, I'll buy something a little more tangible than pixels that really belong to someone else.

Then again, some of my spending might seem frivolous to others.

    Re: The dupes have arrived

oh well, spending cash on pixels seems as dumb as spending cash for alcohol for me. Well, the pixels have one advantage, once you buy them, they remain yours forever (or till they poof. xP) And the only thing left after buying alcohol is a major hangover and waking up in someone's bed. Next to a man :propeller:

Just my thoughts (I'm an abstainer ^_^)

    Re: The dupes have arrived

the conversation probably goes more like this:

"Dad, could you please use your Visa to buy me a Nigma MP?

"What's a nikma? A russian machine pistol? :whistling:"
... small pause, dad thinking ...
"Ok son, we live in america, you have the right to own one."
