The dual wield thing

How does dual wield really work?

I heard that all weapon bonuses aren't working or calculated on your left hand weapon. Is that so and which mods are working and not??

Anything else that't good to know about dual wield??

Thx in advance.

Dualwiled works really well...~100% more attacks afyter the first 4 frames.

You didnt frame your second one right, attack mods on both weapons dont stack or add up,for e.g you have 50% deadly on right & 40% deadly on left, that doesnt make 90% deadly when either hits.It is 50% when right gets its hit & 40% when left gets it,same with crushing blow, openwounds, itd, defense cut, freezes target, causes to flee & break damage limit.<==

But stats & auras do stack, wileding two beast will give you a level 18 fana aura & so on.

Ok, thx for the info.
Another question, is the cb and ds from gore riders (or any other mod from any other non-weapon equipment) calculated to each weapon separatly or to just the right handed weapon?

Offweapon attackmods apply to both weapons.

Bad FFX reference!!

You did mention it but just to expand on it, ctc like chance to cast chain lightning on attack, will stack with off weapon chance to cast as well and will not stack between the 2 items. This becomes useful to know if you plan on using the new runewords with ctc or older items with ctc and charges on other items to boost them. You will get more out of a 8% ctc chain lightning amulet than a 8% ctc chain lightning sword, since when dual wielding you will get twice as many chances to cast.

So techincally speaking when dual wielding expect your ctc on weapons to be halved, so that 5% ctc amp damage is actually only 2.5% on average. Since one attack is gauranteed not to be given the chance to cast.

Dual wielding is nice in some aspects, but poor in others the loss of a shield can mean a big difference depending on your build. The use of 2hand/1hand weapons (claymore swords for example) uses the diminish of damage when used 1handed to account for the double striking by using it as a dual wield. Dual wielding also knocks out a group of possible weapon types, ranged 2handed and so forth.

I tend to like having 1 handed attacks in most cases, but the frenzy and double swing skills require dual wielding.

The ctc on your weapons should be the same as wielding one weapon because you attack twice as fast.
Certainly some builds are not suitable for dual wielding, but whirlwind looks really nice!
Imagine dual eth zod death cleavers, highlords, wartravelers, fortitude armor... some serious dmg with 100% ds and an attack rate at 2 fps!!
I don't play pvp, but pvm that would be really nice :)
