    The Drop Report (TDR)

    THE DROP REPORT (TDR)

    Mission Statement:

    The purpose of this thread is to finally create a list of all items with what mods is droped/spawned from what and where.

    Rules:

    1. Truth. Without truth this entire project is useless. Please be constructive and help make diablo 2 more enjoyable for everyone by posting thruthful drop findings on this thread. This thread relies on people's honesty.

    2. classic diablo 2 only

    3. no shop, no imbue, no gambling (these can be additional threads if I or some one wants to make)

    Set-up for non-rares:

    1. Item (name + stats, if magical/rare)
    2. char MF amount
    3. monster/object that dropped the item (pot, chest, monster + its type and name, etc) (if act boss monster: quest or non-quest drop, glitched or not)
    4. area
    5. difficulty
    6. attempts/runs it took to get item drop
    7. SP/MP/Realm(name of realm)/HC/SC/L/NL
    8. patch
    9. number of players in game

    heres an added extra direction for this thread:

    now that i got most uniques and sets, my sights are on godly rares.

    RARE's Mission Statement:

    the purpose is to create an archive of where (area and difficulty) and what (monster or object) to find a given item type (ornate, lance, etc..) and what mods can spawn on it (kings mod for weapons, heavenly? mod for armors, +20 str=titan?, etc..) from.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    the format is a bit different for rares.

    1. rare item's name

    2. item type (chaos armor, mage plate, ornate armor, grim helm, grim shield, pavise, dragon shield, exe sword, ancient axe, lance, battle hammer, naga, mart, gothic bow, balista xbow, etc..)

    3. its mods (affixes=prefixes+suffices) (the mods are important so we know where=area/what=monster/object can spawn what mods. like the debate of when kings mod can first spawn. etc..)

    4. mf amount (non-item related. the mf your char has on from gear)

    5. what dropped it (monster or object)

    6. where it dropped (area location)

    7. the difficulty (norm, nm, hell)

    8. # of runs (intentionally doing a run of at certain area, difficulty, and monster/object) or random luck (not intentionally doing a run. happens during quest rushing or experience leveling)

    9. bnet info (realm, softcore or hardcore, ladder or non-ladder, and, of course, on classic) or non-bnet like single player or open mp

    10. version (patch #)

    11. # of players (human) in game

    sorry for double post, warlock, but i wanted to be the first item drop post and also to show what it should look like

    1. gull
    2. N/A (unique item, so doesn't matter)
    3. ~300 MF
    4. coldcrow (dark ranger)
    5. cold plains, cave lvl 1
    6. norm
    7. in ~7 runs I had 1 gull, in ~20 runs I had 3 gulls
    8. SP, SC
    9. current-newest patch

    L (ladder) (reset or not-old), or NL (non-ladder) or etc.. (just list it as part of #8)

    thank you, but it's really u guys who should be thankful as I hopefully get better at writing and organizing my posts/threads, as its u guys who have to deal with reading it

    try to keep (as much as u guys can) with the posts limited to actual item drop posts. but a few question posts as u need to are fine too. i just dont wanna congest this up with too much non-item drop posts.

    PS to everyone:

    don't forgot to tell about pots or chests or other objects. i want this info too as its the least known about. people know more about monsters (and their treasure classes=TC's) but very little about chests and pots and other such objects and has never been any info on this. big reason of making this thread for BOTH monsters AND OTHER OBJECTS (like pots and chests) of what they drop.

    ya i remember reading about some one who couldnt find this item...but couldnt remeber who or where lol...thanks for saving me the trouble:D

    well now u know u CAN get it from norm stony field rak or his minions or monsters around the stones. (i'm not sure which dead monster droped it)

    Heres my Normal mode cow king report, as I mf him all the time with my mf popper.


    01. Item (name + stats, if magical/rare)

    03. 500%+
    04. Gull - Blinkbat - Rare level required 29 boots (coldres/fireres/lightres) Frw&Fhr - Tarnhelm
    05. Cow Portal
    06. Normal
    07. Seemed like I would get it after 25 or more cow king runs.

    09. 1.11b
    10. 4-8 Players in game.

    thanks, isthisnamep, keep it coming guys/girls.

    if no one does, eventually i'll try running chests (normal or sparkly), pots, and otehr objects, and try to get some info on these finally...after 10 years of d2......info on the TC/drops of chests, pots, or otehr objects..

    i might be wrong, but when i'm char lvl 1 in norm blood moor i get really worthless items. i come back to norm blood more at char lvl 80 and i get items with good mods on them. armors with elem resists, +50 life, etc.

    also, at char lvl 1 i only get belts with +1-2 str than i come back to same place at char lvl 80 and i get +20 str on items.

    so it does seem to make a difference with what mods u get on items. but i could be wrong.

    No way. You wont get any high lvl mods in normal act1, the mobs aren't high enough level to drop it. I've never read from any big name, or other, source that clvl is a factor in drops.

    i was jsut using that as an example. norm blood moor is probably too low.

    but i'm positive that when i play the higher character lvl i am the more and better mods i see on items even when i come back to normal difficulty.

    it might jsut be from shops, and not drops. i know shop items' mods get much better based on character level.

    That's just not true and you shouldn't say it because it spreads disinformation. You may have that feeling but that doesn't matter. We know how the game works, there is ample information out there. No mysteries really.

    ONLY WHEN SHOPPING DO ITEMS GET BETTER BASED ON CHAR LVL!!!!!!

    Shops, gambling and imbuing are the things that improve based on char lvl. Anything that drops is all about the level of the area and monsters which determines item lvl (ilvl). High ilvl = greater likelyhood of godly mods.

    4. some special (probably, but could have been a normal one too) monster in viper temple. i don't know which monster dropped it
    5. viper temple lvl 1
    6. norm (i think...it might have been nm, i can't remember now. sorry)

    i learned that # 2. (char lvl) does NOT make difference with drops. so its being removed.

    new set-up:

    1. item (name, type, quality)
    2. mf amount
    3. "object/source" that dropped the item (monster, chest, pot, corpse, other object, etc.) (if act boss, if u glitched or not)
    4. area
    5. diffuculty
    6. runs/tries or luck (1st time, randomly, without trying to mf) to get item.
    7. realm, softcore (SC) or hardcore (HC), ladder (L) or non-ladder (NL)
    8. patch
    9. # of people in game
